In memoriam - Death Of A Tsavo Legend

Thanks for sharing this. Makes me wonder if I don't have pics, or super 8mm movie film, of him as a youngster from a couple of days in Tsavo back in 1980. RIP Craig.

    460 Weatherby, Ryan Breeding

That is a beautiful rifle for sure, but yeah maybe a bit too short. I just can't imagine the brake being that close - Ouch!. We have my father-in-laws old .460 Wby from the 70's. A work mate of his got it for him to go to Mozambique with, but he never used it there as the Portuguese left and...

Comment by 'Arctic97' in media 'Iguana Hunting Florida'

No. It was only stunned when it was shot and as we didn't want to keep it as a trophy, the guide wanted it as he said someone would want to have it mounted. Apparently when they die their colors fade some, but if you can get it frozen immediately after it dies you can preserve those colors. So...

    270 Component Clean-up

Yeah I hear you. I added $50 in this sale to cover the shipping, but probably should mention that if the costs end up being less than $50 because your location is close, I will just do it for $600 and the actual cost.

Well, I hope you get your truck going soon. I did the transmission in mine last December, so I feel your pain on that chore. :E Strong:

    270 Component Clean-up

I recently acquired a very large assortment of reloading components from a local gentleman. Although I reload for 30 odd calibers, 270 is one I never landed upon. So I have 270 Win Brass and .277" bullets that need to go. I am going to list these as one lot with the hope that I don't have to...

    Modern 7x57 Mauser Velocities, etc.

I load Barnes 150gr TSX for my daughter's 7x57. Velocity is 2520fps measured about 10' from barrel. She has killed a lot of critters with that load. It is a stock, Ruger model 77 with a 22" barrel. Here is a pic taken last November in Zim. Taken with one frontal shot at 165 yards. Also see...

TSX - You Can't Have It Both Ways!

I recently posted this on another thread, but it fits here....note what he says about the failed one and penetration..... I like to leave ammo for the PH's when I go. I left a batch of 270 gr, in 375 H&H cal for a PH and he sends me pics of bagged animals which I enjoy receiving. He uses TSX...
