Crate is home! Wins and losses along the way

Yeah the taxidermy, shipping, customs, etc has gotten kind of spendy for mere mortals. I am head over next week and this will be the first time (out of 7 on hunts) that I do NOT plan to do any taxidermy. Just pictures. Getting to that point in life where I have enough taxidermy around and I can...

    Namibia E-Visa Payment Issues

I apologize for not reporting back sooner. We were away on other travels. After countless attempts over a 4 week period, I succeeded in getting the payment to go through. I am not sure if it is just the server on their end, their poor internet bandwidth, or a combination of multiple things...

    Namibia E-Visa Payment Issues

Thanks, yes, it has always been kind of a dash to be near the front of one of the lines there in WDH to get cleared. I am not really worried about it, but great to hear from members here that with or without the eVisa, it is still about the same as it has always been. lol So I will try once more...

    Namibia E-Visa Payment Issues

Thanks, that may be how we will roll this time. No outfitter this trip to ask, just 7 weeks of over landing and visiting friends there and in Bots. Going earlier than I have ever been also.

    Namibia E-Visa Payment Issues

Thanks, Yeah I noticed the blocks don't highlight missing info. Have tried 4 different cards, 3 different browsers, and 2 different computers. I will probably try to call them if I fail one more time. And yes, most of the world uses day/month/year format. How we here in USA decided on...

    Namibia E-Visa Payment Issues

Maybe some of you guys can shed a little light to help me get over a hurdle with this Namibian E-Visa. I like to think I am pretty good at figuring out how to use my laptop to make trip planning easy from my living room. My wife and I got on the Ministry of Home Affairs, Immigration, Safety and...

In memoriam - Death Of A Tsavo Legend

Thanks for sharing this. Makes me wonder if I don't have pics, or super 8mm movie film, of him as a youngster from a couple of days in Tsavo back in 1980. RIP Craig.

    460 Weatherby, Ryan Breeding

That is a beautiful rifle for sure, but yeah maybe a bit too short. I just can't imagine the brake being that close - Ouch!. We have my father-in-laws old .460 Wby from the 70's. A work mate of his got it for him to go to Mozambique with, but he never used it there as the Portuguese left and...

Comment by 'Arctic97' in media 'Iguana Hunting Florida'

No. It was only stunned when it was shot and as we didn't want to keep it as a trophy, the guide wanted it as he said someone would want to have it mounted. Apparently when they die their colors fade some, but if you can get it frozen immediately after it dies you can preserve those colors. So...

    270 Component Clean-up

Yeah I hear you. I added $50 in this sale to cover the shipping, but probably should mention that if the costs end up being less than $50 because your location is close, I will just do it for $600 and the actual cost.
