Thanks for sharing this. Makes me wonder if I don't have pics, or super 8mm movie film, of him as a youngster from a couple of days in Tsavo back in 1980. RIP Craig.
That is a beautiful rifle for sure, but yeah maybe a bit too short. I just can't imagine the brake being that close - Ouch!.
We have my father-in-laws old .460 Wby from the 70's. A work mate of his got it for him to go to Mozambique with, but he never used it there as the Portuguese left and...
No. It was only stunned when it was shot and as we didn't want to keep it as a trophy, the guide wanted it as he said someone would want to have it mounted. Apparently when they die their colors fade some, but if you can get it frozen immediately after it dies you can preserve those colors. So...

Great report. Nice trophies and enjoyed the details! Thank you for sharing. We are looking forward to meeting up with Conrad in 2026! I have used Mr. X a few times, including last fall here with my daughter. It's always a pleasure to see him and his service is top shelf for sure!

I recently posted this on another thread, but it fits here....note what he says about the failed one and penetration.....
I like to leave ammo for the PH's when I go. I left a batch of 270 gr, in 375 H&H cal for a PH and he sends me pics of bagged animals which I enjoy receiving. He uses TSX...
