Gentlemens, behold my magnificent savage, featuring a hand-chekered stock crafted out of high-end turkish walnut, slim, elegant lines
More seriously, I always find lightly engraved color-case hardened mausers stunnning pieces of art.
Well happy yours work, I had to send mine to the gunsmith who then f*cked up the headspacing, so I couldn't even chamber a round. I guess the ruger is a very nice rifle tho ;)
Thanks One Day, I did not know that, I thought it started from 4 or 5 times that price - and these are some great looking animals and photos. It still is not something I can afford now but in a few years that would be a great hunting trip :)
Thank you, yes we hunt doves especially around my uncle's farm, and woodpigeons too, but their presence depends on what grows in the fields, so they are not here every year. Doves are always there tho.
Well that would be great especially as it would be following my grandfather's grandpas steps but budget wise I'll have to work for quite some time to be able to afford it - I still find it very interesting, especially the specific rifles and ammunition for this kind of hunt.
How much does a Chapuis X4 cost in the US? In France they go for +-4k and are available in 8x57jrs, 30-06 and 9.3x74r, and they are some sweet looking SxS doubles.
