Well the only hunting shotgun I had up until about 5 years ago is an 870 I've had forever. Runs great and I've hunted a ton with it.

I like having 2 of each caliber in case one goes down or is in the shop or whatever. A little redundancy is good.
And @BeeMaa is right, I usually bring 2 shotguns with me especially waterfowl hunting. Never know when one my die on you.

Layouts. It was a little chilly but they had the birds landing right on top of us. Their spread was well done and we limited out pretty quickly. The crane was delicious too!

If it had to be something I already own then it would be my trusty 30-06. Hemmingway killed a rhino with one, that's good enough for me.
If I had to buy something then probably a .416 rigby of some sort.

I was being somewhat facetious. I understand taxes are necessary and important to have a functional society.
However the government wastes so much money and always wants more for providing less and less and protecting fewer of our rights.
