If you're contemplating a NZ hunt, get the best boots you can. Regardless, the best boots will not survive more than a few months of hunting NZ high country. I thoroughly recommend the Crispi boots. I've used Meindl, Zamberlan, Lowa, and 3 or 4 other brands whose names escape me at the moment...
