Hi Fellows,
grown up in Zambia,in the little rest of the good old hunting times in Africa.
I was with him in Luangwa Valley and he was a perfect hunter.
Unforgotten in my memories.
Licensed in Cameroon and Tansania also.
With much experience on big and other game (alone over 2000 buffalos ,he and guests together).
He had no wife and children I think, a sister, living in RSA.

My deep condolences.
And I have to thank God for every week in my life thats going round.

Hi,

I saw on AfricaHunting.com that you made note of Hartley Combrinck’s passing.

I am one of Hartley’s clients. A group of us have arranged a couple of hours to get people together to share their stories and/or pictures of Hartley, during the SCI convention.

I didn’t want to take the liberty to use the forum to publicize the event, but if you like, please feel free to post the jpg’s included below….

You will likely receive other copies through other sources….

I hope you and/or other folks will share some pictures to show at the event, or attend and tell an amusing story about our friend Hartley.

Best regards,

G. Smith USA

Hello Spike,hello Geoff,

good idea, I will mail you a few pics of him.
I'm in contact with Rashid, the safari operator he worked for and I might ask him for a couple of other pictures.
(I hope I have understood all what you wrote, english is not my motherlanguage).
To bad that I'm not on the convention.
Greetings from Munic

I'm unfortunately on a diet. Presently in VA hospital as Agent Orange finally caught up with me. Cancer and I no longer can speak. If all goes well I'll be out of here and back home in Thailand by end of July. Tough road but I'm a tough old guy. I'll make it that hunt.

Nice one there. I guided for mulies and elk for about 10 or so years in northern New Mexico.
