Fly Blue Crane introduces cheaper flights

South African airline Fly Blue Crane will launch a new route between Windhoek and Cape Town next month.
The regional airline has received approval from South African and Namibian authorities to launch its first regional service between the two countries, a media statement issued by the company on Wednesday said.
A return ticket from Windhoek to Cape Town will cost about N$1 800.
“Exact flight schedules on the route will be released soon,” the media statement said.
Fly Blue Crane chief commercial officer Theunis Potgieter was quoted as saying the addition of the new route was in line with the airline’s regional ambitions. More Southern African destinations will be considered as the airline grows.
“Our flights will complement services that are currently being offered between the two cities by existing players in the market. We aim to deliver our customers on this route with high on-time performance, consistent service excellence and advanced online technologies that make the booking and travel process fuss-free, with highly competitive fares,” he said.
Potgieter said it was the right time to introduce this route in light of the growing tourism and business ties between the two countries, as well as the fact that many people are travelling in the Southern African Development Community (SADC) region, especially between South Africa and Namibia.
“Our aim in the coming years is to make air travel an altogether better, convenient and more rewarding experience in the entire Southern African sub-region.”
Fly Blue Crane launched its inaugural flights from OR Tambo International Airport on 1 September 2015. It offers cargo services on all its flights to Kimberley and Bloemfontein, as well as between Kimberley and Cape Town, and between Bloemfontein and Cape Town.
The airline operates a modern and fuel-efficient 50-seater Embraer Regional Jet 145 (ERJ) aircraft in single class configuration.

Business is the only way to fly. I'm headed to SA August 25. I'm hoping that business isn't an arm and a leg. If you don't mind, what airline and the cost for your trip. Mine will be convoluted. I'll be flying into the states to pick up my 416 Rigby as Thailand doesn't allow firearms (pay no attention to the daily shootings and killings) so I'll have 2 very long trips.
