Due to two groups that had to cancel their hunts because of health reasons, I have 3 elephant bulls that I need to sell, thus I am offering them at an unbelievable price.
The hunts will be in either the Sobbe- or Sikunga conservancy in the Caprivi of Namibia. Ndumo Safaris will be the outfitter, and I or Fred Bezuidenhout will most likely be the PH (date dependant).
Any date between 25th of July and 30 November can be made to work. Now to mid-August and the whole November will be best for Sobbe, and Sikunga will be best from now to around the 14th of November, when it most likely will become a bit wet.
The hunts will be sold under the following conditions:
Day fees (any area, 12 days): US$ 12 000 (normally US$ 17 500)
Trophy fee for first elephant: US$ 12 000 in Sobbe (normally US$ 16 000)
US$ 14 500 in Sikunga (normally US$ 18500)
If a hunter wants to hunt a second bull, the trophy fee will be US$ 18 500 irrespective of which area.
50% deposit on day fees secures the hunt and a date, other 50% payable prior to hunt, and all trophy fees payable in full before hunter leaves the Caprivi. (In case of a hunter wanting to book a second bull, 50% deposit on the trophy fee for second bull is also payable.)
Other game and prices are as follows (limited quota so it may change):
Buffalo (6000), sable (7500), kudu (1500), Chapman's zebra (1500), blue wildebeest (1000) in Sobbe
Hippo (4000) and croc (4000) in Sikunga.
If any of my booked hunters want to upgrade to include an elephant trophy bull, they can do so at US$ 15 000 irrespective of which area.
Included are all taxes, permits, 12 hunting days, 2 travel days, all meals and drinks (in moderation), accommodation in one of my hunting camps, and field prep of all trophies, pick up and drop off at either Katima or Kasane airport.
Excluded are all items of a personal nature, all travel and accommodation costs before or after safari, and all taxidermy and dip and pack charges.
I am hunting at the moment, so do not have access to internet all the time, thus my normal email address ( karl@huntingsafaris.net ) and this site will only be read every 3 or so days. For a quicker response, please use my email address that comes to my cell phone ( karlstumpfe@gmail.com ) or email Rose Bezuidenhout on admin@huntingsafaris.net .

Karl, great offer on a Caprivi bull. Best of luck on selling it.

Hi Karl, How big should be expected for both areas? Success rate normally would be?

Please give me total cost for each area including daily rate and trophy as well as all other cost associated with the hunt. How big, average, should be expected for all areas? What the success rate normally would be? What airport that I would need to fly into. I'm very interested in the Hunt.

Thanks in advance for the info

Hey Karl Stumpfe just wondering if you sent Russ Smith an answer already via IM or something, I am also waiting on his question to be answered since the bottom line is what I have to go by and budget for. Thanks in advance.

Hi Russ and smuzzie

Sorry for the long wait, I was hunting and did not have good enough internet reception to log onto this site. I am off for today and tomorrow, so am in town, and can monitor this site and receive normal emails for this 2 days. After that, Im strating another hunt, so then my cellphone email is the only one working. (see above)

The total cost is 24 000 in Sobbe, or 26 500 in Sikunga.
On average you can expect a bull between 45 and 50. We have shot so far this year bulls from 41 to 64 lbs.
Success rate would be close to 100%, if you discount the few guys that through the years have come on very short add on hunts (4 days or so), where holding out for something bigger, or where just physical incapable to pull the trigger. (assuming you come at the times stipulated above.)
I have a long list of references available, so please feel free to email me and I will supply that.

there are two options available for fly in:
1) Kasane (Botswana ) if you are flying via Johannesburg, this is the best route, but requires a Botswana gun permit, which will take 14 days to get to you in the USA, and cost approximately US$ 100.
2) Katima Mulilo (also called Mpacha airport) in the Caprivi of Namibia, best route if you are flying via Windhoek/ Frankfurt.

Kind regards

There is no hidden costs, your dip and pack of your trophy to Windhoek should cost less than 500 USD. No other costs involved.

Hallo Marius- do you have possibilities for stags in September during the roar? Where are your hunting areas in Romania?

I'm about ready to pull the trigger on another rifle but would love to see your rifle first, any way you could forward a pic or two?
Thanks,

Love your rifle! I'm needing a heavier rifle for Africa. Sold my .375 Dakota Safari several trips ago. Would you have any interest in a trade of some sort involving the custom 338/06 I have listed here on the site ( I have some room on my asking price. I also have a large quantity of the reloading components and new Redding dies as well as a box of A-Square Dead Tough ammo.
