Bushbuck Pictures

25 year span of photos. Nice trophies. You age well too.(y)

A Bushbuck hunting career in pictures.. Nice collection of trophies for sure.

Thanks Wheels, it's been a Great Ride! Ive seen a lot of change over three decades. Ethiopia is on my list to finish out the Bushbuck, and Mtn. Nyala of course.

Thanks Brickburn, still holding on to the dream of an 18" Bushbuck, it's better than the best whitetail!

For those who havent watched the video that I posted in the video section, here it is again...

THE BIGGEST BUSHBUCK TO COME OUT OF ZAMBIA

Hi Thor
Just backed up through the pages here and found this one watched the video. The picture after yours was 17" but you didn't ever say what the length was. Do you have a number for this one. Some day I would like to get a great bushbuck.

Bhfs300,

The bushbuck on the video and one the picture you refer to just went 19'' on both sides. I think it made 4 or 5 in the SCI record book.

The bigger one which was picked up was over 21'' on each side.

The Lower Luangwa Valley has some of Africas best chobe bushbuck

Mike, how often do y'all see bucks over 16"?

I won't rest til I find one 18"

Sounds worse than my 60 inch Kudu goal.

Gotta have those goals Brickburn, that's what keeps pulling us across the pond.

I'm sure if I ever score on the big bushbuck I'll join in search of the 60" kudu!

There'll always be a catalyst drawing me to the Dark Continent.

Here is a trail cam photo of one that was hanging around 200 yds from the lodge- I was after him but let my 60" kudu hunting get in the way. Anyone with an estimate on length? 16"s ? He looked old to me

here was one I ended up with- the worst picture of all my animals unfortunately. We got caught between the daylight and dark and the flash didn't work good, it was blurry etc. I tried to photoshop some of it to clean up but it is what it is. This BB had a better cape but not the same twist or length of the one above. This one was 15"

Very nice Bushbuck buck wild, I know what you mean on photos, it's the final object of memory before the mount arrives and at time a great trophy just doesn't get shown well. On late evening success, I like to wait til morning weather permitting as first light can make for great photographs.

Forgive me if this is the incorrect area, I signed up to this forum just now because I wanted to be on the list to purchase a copy of your autobiography. Please feel free to pass my information along to whomever is selling. Thank you so much. I look forward to it!
I like the Tillie in my picture. They are supposed to fit loose (2 fingers inside hat band), have mesh for cooling, and hold their shape after washing.
