Has anyone been hunting in SA with Wayne Wagner? I'm going to hunt in SA in march next year, but I'm bringing my family so i want to stay a place where there is something for them to do aswell, and I found that Nyati Safari (a danish owned place, we're from Denmark) offers that with hunting combined, and they cooperate with Wagner safaris and their PH's.

We've been to Matswani safaris, but we want to try something new, so any kind of feedback on Wayne Wagner is welcome.

Welcome!!!

I'm not familiar with Wayne Wagner, but there are definitely outfitters on this site that focus on the family and offer other things to do.

+1 to what Royal27 said. You biggest problem will be to decide which one to choose from!

Thank you for the welcoming.

I know that there are lots of good places, but I want to hear about Wagner Wayne , because we kind of fall in love with the Nyati Safari place, it looks absolutely amazing.

I hunted with Wayne Wagner in 2010 and there are others on AH that have also. Presuming you're going to his area in RSA, you'll be within spitting distance of Kruger Park. If your family enjoys picture type safaris, there's at least a couple of days worth of fun to be had there. In March it will still be warm and there's a pool at the lodge. There is also a game refuge not far from there where your family get really up close to the various animals they have.

I can't say what else there may be there for them. I hunted with Ian Brown, a PH who works for Wayne. Ian was great to hunt with and I would do so again without hesitation.

Wayne Wagner is an excellent outfit. I had many buffalo done with Ian Brown. He is an outstanding PH.

Yes excaxtly, we're gonna stay near Kruger. Did you stay at the Nyati Safari lodge aswell or did you stay at the Wayne wagner accomodation, the one they promote at det wagner website?

Yes I've read a lot of good things about Ian Brown, so I've considered making a request for him . :)

I hunted with Ian Brown of Wayne Wagner safaris last year. Amazing experience to say the least. We shot two buffalo in 7 days one of which was a 45 inch monster. He is very near the klaserie and timbavati game reserves to sometimes the monsters from that end cross over on to his side.

Should you like to see the pictures then send me a pm with your email add and I will send them to you.

I realize how hard the bug has bit. I’m on the cusp of safari #2 and I’m looking to plan #3 with my 11 year old a year from now while looking at my work schedule for overtime and computing the math of how many shifts are needed….

I'd like to get some too.

My wife (a biologist, like me) had to have a melanoma removed from her arm last fall.

Hallo Marius- do you have possibilities for stags in September during the roar? Where are your hunting areas in Romania?
