Hello: I’m looking for a Ruger M77 in .458Lott....Prefer 3 position safety. I will consider other makes, and barreled action only is fine as well.
Please respond via PM.
Thanks !
Derek

Have you considered rechambering a Winchester 70? I think you will be money ahead and happier with the rifle IME.

When I had mine done, Ruger’s were $2000 ish in good condition.

Win 70 458 Win Mag - $1200
-Rechamber
- mag work, maybe bolt stop adjust, check feeding....
-shorten to 22” and recrown
- Replace sights with NECG sights
-adjust trigger to 3 lb
-Add Limbsaver pad

I think I’m right at $2000 with the great fit of a Winchester 70!

That’s what I did. Danny Pedersen with Classic Barrel in Prescott extended the chamber. Local smith did the mag work. Prolly $700 all in IIRC

If you haven't found one yet, I have one in excellent condition.

I realize how hard the bug has bit. I’m on the cusp of safari #2 and I’m looking to plan #3 with my 11 year old a year from now while looking at my work schedule for overtime and computing the math of how many shifts are needed….
