Spain hunt dilemma

Maybe there is another option, what is a newborn baby worth on the black market?... LOL JK

If it was me I would feel both out and see if 1 could be postponed without penalty. If only one can be put off that would make the decision easy, if both can be put off then flip a coin they are both great options. Being a die hard mountain hunter the Ibex would lean that way if pushed.

Another thing to consider is that Spain was a gift from the wife, going on that trip could keep the gift train chugging away so to speak and make the wife happy.

I agree with Diamondhitch.
The hunt given as a gift from your wife should be the hunt you should prioritize for sure.

One day I hope I will be so lucky that I find such a loving and generous woman like yours that will give me hunting trips as gifts :)

My ex-wife just gave me hell when I wanted to go hunting...

DFA, sorry if you have mentioned/answered this question earlier, but I must ask, would this be your first buff hunt?

I'm sorry to once again interfere with this thread, and I am quite sure I will regret even suggesting this idea. Sigh, but here goes anyway: I have absolutely no experience with hunting (have very little experience in general with hunting) in Spain or anywhere else other than Zim. However, as a woman, of course I must make another suggestion: Why not postpone the Spain hunt until after the baby is born, then perhaps you could make the trip there with the whole family? Spain is very family friendly. A baby could easily go to Spain with no problem, that way your wife could have a bit of a vacation as well? I'm sure I'm not thinking this completely through but it's just my opinion. As a woman, you know we have a lot of opinions and this might get you some serious brownie points and a great trip to boot. Perhaps the older siblings could stay with relatives for the time? I am sure that your wife and baby would enjoy some relaxation at the lodge you will be staying at while you are on your hunt. Bet there is alot for her to do (obviously she wouldn't be tagging along on the actual hunt).

Ok, now bring on the comments guys as to why this idea is stupid....

Jane,
Your idea is far from stupid. If the outfitter will push it to 2015 I may just do it.
Even still it would be a very busy couple of years. Zimbabwe this summer for plains game, Spain the following summer, then back to Africa in 2016 for buff.
I am sorry to say , but one week ago we lost the baby. So no decisions will be made for a bit , other than I will be in Zimbabwe this summer.
Thanks for all the input...
T.J.
