SOUTH AFRICA: MOZAMBIQUE: Off To Southern Africa With KMG & TMS & PPS

UK, good point!!!

Are the deer at the Royal park in danger as he stops-over in England?

@UKHunter i think so as i just spoke to him and he had got off the heathrow express at paddington, and in the course of 10 mins conversation there were 4 or 5 holy shit exclamations and so this is 2 way traffic here , so hopefully he will survive crossing the odd road ........................:E Big Grin:

Haha, Excellent! I think getting across London might be the most dangerous part of his trip!

Walked all the way from Paddington to meet with the Queen. She did say drop by for the Red Deer permit.
She was in, the flag was flying, but the <>€€£*^#}%€£¥ line up to see her was a little long for me. No permit issued, the deer were safe.
The geese and pigeons however were starting to look like they needed some thinning in Hyde Park.
SOAKED my ass in the afternoon rain. Who would have thought it rained in London. Camera bag has a waterproof cover so no more electronics issues.
Two hours to boarding and on my way again

Spending some more time here huntin some Critters does sound appealing, but driving here?! I'll take South Africa any day, yeesh.

i presume the the only good reason to throw it at you was because it was empty.............;):E Big Grin:

Me and a mozambiquan fella had four for ourselves. Kurt passed. Those four seemed to echo the ocean waves when held to my ear though :)

Brick,

Glad you saw some sights in London. I did think to warn you about rain but then I thought everyone knows it always raining here.

I meant to pass you on my mobile number if you needed a point of contact, I apologise for forgetting to do so.

Next time I can help plan some hunting, even take you myself if I'm free. That way you won't have to drive :A Drive:.

And what the hell with all those roundabout things. Damn, they try and get you from every angle.

No issues. Thanks for that. Walking was hard enough. Driving, nope. Nothing is straight here. Just nuts

Don't forget to swerve for motorbikes.....

Have you made it safely home?

Made it home alive.

Although the first flight JNB LHR was a nightmare.
They changed the plane and the seat numbers did not correspond to my requests, obviously.
Did not get the seats I needed with legroom unfortunately.
Actually had to walk and exercise around the first plane for two hours to start to get my legs right. :(
Tin cans are not made for my size.

Luckily, I upgraded for the second flight and made a better time of it.

Going to work on the computer thing today and maybe get some pictures into the big machine on the desk and start in earnest with the tales, fibs.

I hate having short legs, until I fly!!!!

The only time I ever offered to give up my aisle seat and sit in the middle was when a guy that was 6'9" had the middle seat. He was very appreciative!

Apparently when you wake up a 0230 to start the drive back you can get a little tired.
I learned a really import lesson about being a PH from Simon, you must be able to sleep anywhere and any time you get an opportunity.

Just finished sorting through most of the photos and loading them into the desk top.
Sadly my little computer fiasco has me missing 5 days of photos. Ouch.

The computer is in the hospital awaiting surgery and a new external was purchased to hopefully allow transfer for the transfer of data. Hopefully, the entire hard drive.
It will be a week before I know the results on that one.

Good luck with the recovery of your files...and thanks for sharing!(y)

Hallo Marius- do you have possibilities for stags in September during the roar? Where are your hunting areas in Romania?

I'm about ready to pull the trigger on another rifle but would love to see your rifle first, any way you could forward a pic or two?
Thanks,

Love your rifle! I'm needing a heavier rifle for Africa. Sold my .375 Dakota Safari several trips ago. Would you have any interest in a trade of some sort involving the custom 338/06 I have listed here on the site ( I have some room on my asking price. I also have a large quantity of the reloading components and new Redding dies as well as a box of A-Square Dead Tough ammo.
