Despite the import hassles precluding me using my own rifle and some mild challenges with my borrowed rifle, persistence and something unfortunately resembling unaimed volley fire resulted in a a very nice stag after 4 days hard stalking. He is actually 7x7 but doesn't show from this angle:

Congrats on the stag!!

Congratulations Bert.

Was this taken in Argentina?

Thanks for posting.

nice deer bert
you look well pleased ,mate .
congratulations

My son went 4 culls in 4 days, but forgot to take a picture of one of them! He's old enough now (13) to hunt with his own guide. He's at an age where a little more action is more fun that waiting out a trophy, but it is good for his skills. Plus, they are not exactly shabby.

All in all a great experience and my wife had her own vacation with the boys out of the house for a week.

all of the mongrel heads that, your young fella took, have got good capes and plenty of bone to play around making things , out of
id rekon he would be most happy with this adventure ......
well done , little turtle

Congratulations to both you and your son on what was clearly a very successful hunt!

Congrats. Sounds like some work to get it done.

Nice trophies. & Cull or not.

I knew I was in for a good time when my guide showed up wearing tactical knee pads and broke out the leather gloves before we started crawling through thorns and then later over rocks.

I'd have to agree that is going to be a sign.

I'm unfortunately on a diet. Presently in VA hospital as Agent Orange finally caught up with me. Cancer and I no longer can speak. If all goes well I'll be out of here and back home in Thailand by end of July. Tough road but I'm a tough old guy. I'll make it that hunt.

Nice one there. I guided for mulies and elk for about 10 or so years in northern New Mexico.

Business is the only way to fly. I'm headed to SA August 25. I'm hoping that business isn't an arm and a leg. If you don't mind, what airline and the cost for your trip. Mine will be convoluted. I'll be flying into the states to pick up my 416 Rigby as Thailand doesn't allow firearms (pay no attention to the daily shootings and killings) so I'll have 2 very long trips.

Hi EGS

I read your thread with interest. Would you mind sending me that PDF? May I put it on my website?
