What a beautiful sight to see a lion catching a gemsbuck !!

Welcome to the site Lionman!

As someone else asked, do you have a website? More details on your offerings? I have tracked lion in the area of Tosca as well as Hot as Hell (not how it's spelled, buy you get the idea). Is your area similar?

Very much like the idea of hunting lions which have been free ranging for a year.

Welcome to AH, Randy !

Best Hank

My website is under construction but if I can get your email I can forward info. Our habitat differs from Tosca and Hotazel. These mentioned area is sandy Kalahari where we have more mixed habiatat between ironstone hills, Camel thorn savannah veld and hard sand. In some part on the reserve we can track easily but in other parts tracking is impossible. We are not allowed to bait so the time spend hunting on average is longer. The Tosca area hunt can be very exciting as you should know, but this area has the advantage of more species including rhinos and buffs roaming with the lions.

Welc
Hi ....My name is Randy Westraadt and I have been a hunting outfitter for 21 years now. Most people will know me as a lion hunter and outfitter and I have been specializing in big cats for last 18 years.

I am the owner of an unique and beautiful private game reserve in the Boshof area of the Free State province of South Africa. This 9800 acres of Kalahari thornveld mixed with iron rock-hills makes it one of the most beautiful areas in our country.

What makes this such a special area is that 3 of the Big 5 roam freely in this area. The Reserve was proclaimed in 1991 and is gazetted in the Free State Provincial Gazette as a proclaimed Private nature reserve. This area also boast with 30 huntable species including lion, buffalo and rhino. The Reserve is known as THE LION VENUE.

We have opened our door to outfitters to bring their clients to hunt this area. All lion and rhino hunts are attended by a Free State Nature Conservation officer to see that all hunts are conducted in a fair chase manner. The lions has been in the area for than a year and have caught many buffalo bulls as supper!!

All are welcome!

I can be contacted at 0824941897 or email at choiceafrica@mweb.co.za.
Welcome Randy!

I'm unfortunately on a diet. Presently in VA hospital as Agent Orange finally caught up with me. Cancer and I no longer can speak. If all goes well I'll be out of here and back home in Thailand by end of July. Tough road but I'm a tough old guy. I'll make it that hunt.

Business is the only way to fly. I'm headed to SA August 25. I'm hoping that business isn't an arm and a leg. If you don't mind, what airline and the cost for your trip. Mine will be convoluted. I'll be flying into the states to pick up my 416 Rigby as Thailand doesn't allow firearms (pay no attention to the daily shootings and killings) so I'll have 2 very long trips.
