Wow! Did the cameraman get mauled? ?

Sure looks like that lioness was attached to the cameraman.

He sure "got the shot".

He better have received a big bonus.

I wonder if they have DG rates now?

Well done to the camera man for standing his ground. But this is un-professional of the PH's in my opinion.

Camera man did a great job of standing his ground. Probably would get paid better working with Mark Sullivan.

The PH in my mind set this fiscal in place. The PH moved out of the way of the lioness and let the lioness continue on to the cameraman.

It Looks like the lioness was hit a couple of time in the charge. Not sure of the rifle calibers, i am thinking that they were too light for this hunt.

I would have liked to have seen this in slow motion.

Again, this lioness was wounded by a hunter. Looks like the first shot was a very poorly placed shot.

You can clearly see that this cat has been wounded by a arrow through the throat/chest. Never fails to upset a lion:mad:

You guys are right on. I Went to a big screen (33 inch) to view the clip again and their appears to be 2 arrows sticking into the lioness. Used the stop action to make sure the arrows were not a branch or brush.

thor it looks like 2 arrows one in the left neck and one in right chest as looking from the front, also blood around shoulder.............so def going to be pissed

Sure says something for shot placement!

One thing for sure is that it's terrific film footage.

Great clip, thanks for posting Jerome.

Holly smokes. I need a clean pair of shorts from just watching it. Great video!!!!

I hope that I do not get that close on next years lion hunt!

it may just be me, but I believe the camera man should be behind the hunter and PH. this way if the lion is going to charge its most likely going for someone with a gun instead of a camera.

Wow! It doesn't look like the arrows hit any vitals. My PH told me to shot my lioness in the shoulders to anchor her. I did exactly as told and she went down and stayed in one spot for the finish off. She couldn't run because the shit had broken both shoulders which could be seen when they skinned her out. This big girl n the video was pissed and ready to set someone.

That is some hair raising footage! Would have loved to see some other angles of this same incident, would be very interesting to see what the PH did and what actually happened after the camera man went down

Hallo Marius- do you have possibilities for stags in September during the roar? Where are your hunting areas in Romania?

I'm about ready to pull the trigger on another rifle but would love to see your rifle first, any way you could forward a pic or two?
Thanks,

Love your rifle! I'm needing a heavier rifle for Africa. Sold my .375 Dakota Safari several trips ago. Would you have any interest in a trade of some sort involving the custom 338/06 I have listed here on the site ( I have some room on my asking price. I also have a large quantity of the reloading components and new Redding dies as well as a box of A-Square Dead Tough ammo.
