Here we go again! Another terror attack on US soil!

Did anyone see Hillary's press conference on Monday. I believe she was in Ohio campaigning. She started out saying that due to the events on Sunday, she would not be talking about politics and then she went on and on about politics. The comment that really got to me was:

I believe weapons of war have no place on our streets and we may have our disagreements about gun safety regulations, but we should all be able to agree on a few essential things.

If the FBI is watching you for a suspected terrorist link, you shouldn’t be able to just go buy a gun with no questions asked.

And you shouldn’t be able to exploit loopholes and evade criminal background checks by buying online or at a gun show.

And yes, if you’re too dangerous to get on a plane, you are too dangerous to buy a gun in America.
So if the police or any law enforcement agency is simply "watching you", this is reason enough for Hillary to deny a citizen of their constitutional right. She also repeats the flatout lie that the anti's make about evading background checks by buying online or at a gun show. We all know that background checks are done at both of these venues.

Two of the stated goals of ISIS is to claim responsibility for everything and get everyone hating each other. Looks like they are succeeding eh Ses ?

Maybe this bloke should have blown up a government building or shot up a school. Oh wait, that's already been done.

But I think you have it backwards: America manages and maintains a level of personal freedom that most of the rest of the western world can't handle. You just don't get that in the UK, Australia etc. Those countries allow more government control because their majority can't tolerate the risks that come with the USA model. The outburst of violence are not an American weakness, it is because people are allowed to associate and think and own and do....when a broken, diseased mind is in that amount of freedom then have the ability to cause harm. But the USA will keep moving on. Why? Because such freedom also brings out the best in people. In fact, a lot more good than evil. Ever compared the per capita number of international scientific recognitions, or the number of new businesses, or philanthropy? It's the US by a mile. And, that just pisses a lot of people off.

Despite the fact that even our useless pro Islam president has called this "an attack of terror", the media at large is now treating it as simply a "mass shooting", as if terrorism had absolutely nothing to do with it! There is a reason for this: agenda. Gun control. No more no less. This has now become the call to arms of the gun control crowd. Its all about control in the end. Sadly some of those supposedly on our side of the issue seem to be taking the same path ignoring the fact that this was a terror attack. Its much easier to call it a mass shooting, then get the gun control side all fired up to pass new laws that do nothing other than make things difficult for the law abiding citizens. Pheroze is correct, it is our FREEDOMS that some people hate.

Already happened this morning in the house........dems are pushing to have their antigun bills brought forward and voted on; "strike while the iron is hot". Looks like another 8 years of being unable to find powder, brass, and rimfire ammunition......remember some A hole legislator calling for bans on black powder after the Boston Marathon bombings.....that quickly got shot down after it was pointed out to this mental midget that the powder in the bombs came from fireworks.
It amazes me that Hillary's supporters are all fired up about the FBI investigating this guy and not finding anything, yet when they investigate her (Hillary), it's a witch hunt (no pun intended). Problem with gun control is that it never ever stops.....they call my my AR15 not necessary for hunting (where in the 2nd amendment does it say anything about hunting?), my scoped rifles are all "sniper rifles", my slug guns are "sawed off shotguns", etc. etc.
Mantra of the dems? Never let a good crisis go to waste if it furthers our agenda............................

I heard the terrorist/murderer frequented the night club.

Thank you. Finally a rational, intelligent post. Yes you have a high cost for those extensive freedoms and the responsibility those freedoms bring seems to be reducing. I've lived in the USA for 18 months and seen those freedoms exercised. Good luck.

I will take our FREEDOM and all that it entails over being a subject, under total control of big govt any day of the week. Good luck.

OK guys,
This has turned into a full fledged gun control campaign.
You heard bammie yesterday. One of the doctors that worked on the victims talked about how much "damage these powerful military weapons do". Idiot alan grayson (congressman from central Florida )yesterday talked about "these guns that can shoot 700 rnds per minute should not be in the public's hands". So this rhetoric will target the MSRs.
What happens if the idiots figure out how powerful a 300win mag is.
This will not stop --- the commieliberals want the 2nd Amend gone.
So for the AH members from the U.S. plan on making some time to call your congressman and senators ----- really.

Well as always politicians missed the point. I had someone tell me assault rifles need to be banded. I asked them to explain to me what an assault weapon is. After much stutter and trying to describe it, I explained to them it is most cosmetic in nature. They then asked why we would need such a weapon, can't I shoot a deer in one shot. I asked them if they had read the second amendment. After much squirming they finally googled it, and said oh this is protect us from an oppressive government. I thought we had a light bulb moment but they then said, "wait is this meant to stop the police"....sigh there really is no need to discussing it with some people they are too far down the rabbit hole.

Politicians who say that there is "no need for assault rifles and high capacity magazines" should go and ask the people who were burned out/beat up during the riots (er.....excuse me; "civil uprisings") in Ferguson, L.A., Baltimore, etc. ........you remember: those places where crowds got out of hand and the police refused to go in (due to political concerns of 'agitating the crowd"). I'm sure that many of those folks would have an irrefutable argument for possession of both!
The antigun crowds problem, besides stupidity, is ignorance.......they don't know jack about it, but they want to ban it. I remember some idiot congresswoman who wanted to ban ALL .50 caliber guns (this was when the Barret .50 cal came out and someone pointed out that it could be used as a long range sniper rifle). When someone asked her if that meant muzzleloaders as well, she replied "of course!"
I can see it now......two gangstas driving down the streets of Compton. "Hey, Reggie......put the top down sos I can gets my ramrod out and reload this muthaf***a!!!"o_O:rolleyes:

God help us when they find out that the .375 H&H, .458s, and .416s can do pretty much the same thing...................

Worst I ever heard was a local TV reporter who refered to a criminal's firearam as "an automatic revolver"

Here is what the loony liberals think of firearms:

Scoped hunting rifle=sniper rifle!!!
handgun (revolver)=Saturday night special
semi auto anything=assault rifle
slug gun = "sawed off shotgun"
muzzleloader = .50 cal

slingshot, bow and arrow, fist, rock = "possible assault weapon"

...And Hillary Clinton wants to know how "can someone be investigated by the FBI and still manage to pass a background check"?

My only answer to that is the same way you can be investigated by the FBI and still run for president. Also, you need to go and ask you husband (if you can find which floozie he's running around with today) and ask him, as he is the one that signed the background checks into law when he was president. YOUR LAWS!!! ......and some how they failed. Yet...........blame the NRA and legitemate gun owners.
Makes me wanna puke.......................

The left are a sickening bunch but while crazy they aren't stupid. They realize that an all out assault on gun owners will be a disaster so they seek to pick at us one group at a time. First they came for the socialists and I said nothing. We must hang together or we will surely hang seperately

I was at Cabela's yesterday; they had a sale on gunpowder and this was the first time I've actually seen dozens of different powders to choose from. With the elections coming up and Hillery and her anti gun rheteric on the horizon I decided to stock up and purchased five pounds of pistol powder and several bricks of 22lr. If things go south the way they did after the Connecticut school shooting I want to make certain that I'm ahead of the curve. Before the elections I plan to purchase several AR15 lower actions just to put in the safe.

I'm still working my way through stuff I bought when Barry was elected. Need more powder though. Hording will hit new heights if the the evil Queen gets in

Yep, Barry and Hillary's Gun Shop, open for business!

I believe Larry Potterfield once joked that if he knew Barry would have been so good for gun sales he would have voted for him.

British Sniper Takes Out Two ISIS Bombers With One Shot, Saving Hundreds Of Lives

A British sniper looks through the scope of his rifle as he guards outside the presidential palace during a handover ceremony in Basra, 550 km (340 miles) south of Baghdad, December 16, 2007. Britain handed over security in Basra province to Iraqi forces on Sunday, effectively marking the end of nearly five years of British control of southern Iraq. REUTERS/Atef Hassan.

A British Special Air Service (SAS) sniper took out two Islamic State bombers with a single shot, saving hundreds of lives in the process.

The SAS sniper took his shot from just over half a mile away, killing the terrorist driver in a split second. But the story doesn’t end there. The bullet passed through the driver’s head and also hit his accomplice in the neck — an incredible feat, given these two targets were moving.

The shot was one of the best in SAS history, according to an SAS source who spoke with the Daily Star Sunday.

“If the sniper had missed a lot of people would have lost their lives,” the SAS source said.

The ISIS driver and his passenger were on their way last month to a detonation site in Libya, where they planned to set off a car bomb and kill hundreds at a Tripoli marketplace. A local Libyan intelligence agent passed over information regarding the coming plot to the British, who promptly got their assets in play to put a stop to the massacre.

The SAS sniper took out his 338 Lapua Magnum rifle and fired two shots off-target to help give him an idea of the wind and speed of the car. Then, aiming carefully, he fired a single round, which hit the driver in the head and caused the car to veer off the road and crash. Libyan soldiers stepped in and fired a hail of machine gun fire on the car, detonating the bomb in the vehicle and causing a massive explosion.

Unfortunately, there are up to 20 British fighters in Libya who have declared loyalty to ISIS. Some of them have fled from Syria, where the terror group is rapidly losing ground. In the meantime, the SAS has moved to Libya to help support the fledgling government against other rival groups.

Business is the only way to fly. I'm headed to SA August 25. I'm hoping that business isn't an arm and a leg. If you don't mind, what airline and the cost for your trip. Mine will be convoluted. I'll be flying into the states to pick up my 416 Rigby as Thailand doesn't allow firearms (pay no attention to the daily shootings and killings) so I'll have 2 very long trips.
