Delta sale fare from JFK to Johannesburg or Cape Town

I went to Delta's website and couldn't get the 350-$400 price. About $750 was the best thing I saw, flight went thru Amsterdam with 4 hour layover and arrives JNB 10pm.

Did you use the search url in the article?

How is this airline with firearms?

I fly from Reno, NV with a stop somewhere in the US to JFK. Best I've found is JFK-JNB nonstop on SAA. I go on to Port Elizabeth on SAA. Round trip on SAA Reno to Port Elizabeth to Reno runs about $1800 US. This is through Travel Express. Lori will find you the best route and fare. SAA is the way to go. When you step aboard everything is free, service and people are great. Beware of Delta from JNB through Lagos. I did that last year and what a mess. The stop in Lagos deplaned most of the passengers and boarded a load of locals. By the time we were close to the US no one, not even the locals would go into the bathrooms, they were such a disgusting mess. The plane looked like a hogpen when we reached Dulles.

The last time I flew was out of Reno as well using Jet Blue and SAA. It was seemless. Your insight on the Delta flight is appreciated.

Seamless? Jet Blue does not or didn't at least partner with SAA and didn't transfer my rifles over. Had to do it myself at JFK! NOT FUN!

I had the same problem with jet blue. Flew with them from DC to NYC and had to transfer my rifle

I hadn't flown with rifles. I was speaking purely of the flights and experience.

And I thank you for that insight as I had planned to take two rifles on the next trip.

If going through Amsterdam you will need a permit good for both ways for your rifles. Easy to get free but must be done 30 days in advance of flight done via email.

Delta has cancelled all tickets bought at this fare, as a mistake fare.

 shouldn't be the customer's problem if they made a mistake.

Thanks again for your support on the Rhodesian Shotgun thread. From the amount of "LIKES" it received, it appears there was only ONE person who objected. Hes also the same one who continually insisted on interjecting his posts that werent relevant to the thread.
