Anyone ever made their own shooting sticks ? If so , any pointers ? I want to make a set of African style shooting sticks. Thanks.

I personally like my bamboo shooting sticks, very light weight.:thumb:

Dang , bluey...I already had desert , but if you decide to include the rest of us , I could use another:draught: "koolaide"

its just what l do .....
your job would seem like that to me ,aswell.
maybe we could swap for a while :bulb:

Yes, I did build them myself. The thread Jerome provided is very informative as well. You can make the dang things to suite your own personal needs. Mine are about 5 to 6 inches taller than me, and you can spread them out to adjust to almost any terrain.

Like I said the bamboo was cut at approx 6ft. 6 in. and the wrapping is Hemp rope, some super glue, and some electrical tape and " Viola " shooting sticks.

wouldn't dream of bringing this one buddy. That rifle was the first grabbed from the safe, and has never assaulted anyone. It's no different than a Browning BAR, just cosmetics. I only backed up G.I.Joe from the brush mate, honors to the foot soldiers....

it certainly is cosmetically sending out a dont !@#K with me message , bro

Business is the only way to fly. I'm headed to SA August 25. I'm hoping that business isn't an arm and a leg. If you don't mind, what airline and the cost for your trip. Mine will be convoluted. I'll be flying into the states to pick up my 416 Rigby as Thailand doesn't allow firearms (pay no attention to the daily shootings and killings) so I'll have 2 very long trips.

Hi EGS

I read your thread with interest. Would you mind sending me that PDF? May I put it on my website?
