Thank You

That is a good read Jerome.

i read it a while back and was waiting on some followup information as to weather the charges will be dropped against the PH - Hunter and land owner.

these clubs have stood way behind these people, dropped them from the clubs and pulled the phs license.dont believe their trial has tried them yet,if guilty they deserve full punishment,if not then is sci and dsc going to apologize in full?will the ph get his license back?be curious to see if the antis and media acknowledge their innocence if that is the case.

I told @Wheels in some thread early on that I wasn't sure if I had a problem with SCI suspending membership of the dentist. Well, I've decided that I do have a problem with it. It still may come out that something wrong was done, but it sure seems less likely, especially of a major issue.

be curious to see if the antis and media acknowledge their innocence if that is the case.

This will never happen, ever. I was banned from the ZTE Facebook page for suggesting that they would have blown a gasket had the dentist come out and said "everyone makes a mistake" like they did after the second lion they had reported killed turned out to still be very much alive.

Good article Edward. Thanks for sharing!

Incredible article. How's that for a completely different take on the story. Now why has the liberal media not shown this? I'll tell you why 20/20 and others won't acknowledge this......It does not fit into there agenda. This letter ought to be sent to the airlines for review.

Thanks for the article Edward.

I don't believe that Dr. Palmer was a member of DSC. Just SCI. Not 100% sure but that's my understanding.

All the best.

Thanks, Jerome....good article. Do you have any other information regarding what newspaper and date it was originally published? Would provide good info to refute those who question the source.

So the whole thing about the collar being destroyed was a lie? I don't even know what is right or wrong about this story anymore. If everything was legal, why are the most current news stories saying the government of Zimbabwe is trying to extradite Palmer to face charges for poaching? I want to believe this whole thing was above-board; gonna need a little more than a newspaper article clipping with no source. Everything I have seen has been anecdotal. The media says, "They dragged a bait and destroyed the collar." The government of Zimbabwe says they are seeking charges for the crime of poaching. The defendants are saying, "No, it was legal." At this point I just want this story to go away, the airlines to reinstate trophy shipping, and the antis to all go eat a steak. Whatever happens with this case should be between the defendants and the investigators at this point.

S.W.,
I agree to a point...however, since this has become such an "international incident", I would just like to see all the facts presented...."good, bad, and ugly". I may be an old goat, but I still wanta "fight back with facts".

I completely agree with you, I just feel at this point the facts aren't clear and there doesn't seem to be much of a leader when it comes to the facts.

If this was a legal hunt, I want all those news stations to issue a big apology Dr. Palmer and make a huge donation to conservation for all the slander they were spreading. And to be honest Dr.Palmer should be rewarded financially for all the BS he was put through......if everything was legal, what the media did was a huge crime.

@edward should be able to as he emailed me the document to post.

The media rarely own up to and take responsibility for their sloppy and Yellow Journalism

I hear that Cecil was a relocated lion from the Free State, South Africa.

even if the hunt was illegal i really doubt Dr. Palmer would have been in on the crime. He likely did exactly what the rest of us do, pay for the hunt and presume the outfitter has all his paper work together.

i will be hunting cape buffalo next week and im assuming my outfitter has the legal right for me to do so and the land owner is not breaking any laws. to my knowledge I have no real way to verify whether any laws are being broken.

Well the rules for hunting are out there, Jerome and Brickburn have shown them to me.....still permits come available and you are the mercy of the outfitter, and trust is paramount.

Still I agree with you Matt, you pick your outfitter and trust him or her.

while the laws are public knowledge, i was actually refering to permits and proper licenses.

Thanks for posting Jerome! Great Article, I hope when things are sorted there will be egg on the face of the anti's and social media.

I'm unfortunately on a diet. Presently in VA hospital as Agent Orange finally caught up with me. Cancer and I no longer can speak. If all goes well I'll be out of here and back home in Thailand by end of July. Tough road but I'm a tough old guy. I'll make it that hunt.

Nice one there. I guided for mulies and elk for about 10 or so years in northern New Mexico.

Business is the only way to fly. I'm headed to SA August 25. I'm hoping that business isn't an arm and a leg. If you don't mind, what airline and the cost for your trip. Mine will be convoluted. I'll be flying into the states to pick up my 416 Rigby as Thailand doesn't allow firearms (pay no attention to the daily shootings and killings) so I'll have 2 very long trips.
