PUMAS... or "cougars".... are a hard head pain in this side of the world!...
The ammount of this big cats and you´re taste for the sheeps and cattle are a lethal combination!...
My friend as a farmer, are very angry with the cats! They eated more than 50 sheeps in a few months!...
So, he asked me to shot this cougars...
Several travels to the farm shows me the hard of the task! Are very clever animals, too difficult to track...
But one night after a couple of failure nights, the cats show up...
The 308 did the job!... the sheeps are grateful! hahaha..

Congratulations to you Marcos for stopping these livestock raiding pumas.
Both gatos appear large, especially the one hanging from above you.
Yes, the .308 is a fine hunting cartridge.
Bravo!

Nice cats, congrats

Congratulations Marcos, very nice cats. Can you tell us a bit about the hunt? How did you take them?

Thaks, friends!... Very large and fat cats..
The hunt? This pumas move and kill at the night, in the sunday they sleep in the deep of the bushes... Without a couple of very trained and experienced dogs the hunt are inneficient!
So, because them moves at the night, we do the same! With a powerfull flashlight tracking the trails and following the puma´s paths
The eyes of the pumas are very refractants, the shine of them are very particular and they should be attracted by a whistle used as a call... The most difficult task is to FIND them... after that, a whistle to catch the atention of the cougar, while the shooter take position and make the shot...

Good shooting Marcos! Nice cats. Will yo have them mounted?

Is this rifle sold? If not what is the weight of it and do you know if there is enough difference in diameter between the 35W and the 9.3 to allow for a rebore to a 9.3x62 which is what I am after?
Thanks,
Gary (Just down the road in Springfield)

Forgive me if this is the incorrect area, I signed up to this forum just now because I wanted to be on the list to purchase a copy of your autobiography. Please feel free to pass my information along to whomever is selling. Thank you so much. I look forward to it!
I like the Tillie in my picture. They are supposed to fit loose (2 fingers inside hat band), have mesh for cooling, and hold their shape after washing.
