What loads do you like to shoot out of your 7x57's what animals have you taken.

The last 4-5 years I've liked a 140 Sierra pro hunter load, 50 gr of imr 4350( use only in strong rifles) I am about out of those Sierra so don't know if I'll use them or just use some speer 145 hot cor if I can find any. I wanted to work up some 175 gr loads to, I've got some 175 hornady round nose and my buddy gave me a box of nosler partitions I'd like to try

160 & 175 gr A Frames and 160 gr Speer BTSP all over IMR-4064.

With the throat of my Zastava allowing a long COAL I can achieve 2800 fps with a 160gn Woodleigh PP using AR2209 (H4350). Very effective but the high SD of the heavier .284 projectiles means pass-through need to be accounted for on smaller/lighter skinned game.

Good lookout. I’ve had pass-through on zebra and wildebeest with the 175 A Frames!

Hi,

I like medium and heavy bullets for my two 7x57.
154 gr Hornady SP at 2800 f/s
160 gr various bullets at 2750 f/s
173/175/177 gr bullets at 2650 f/s

For the 154/160 I use mainly all 4350 powders.
For the heavy ones R19 and R22.

Good luck!

Model 70 Lightweight 22" barrel.
145 LRX worked up to 2930 fps with StaBall 6.5.
150 Nosler Ballistic Tip or Partition worked up to 2830 fps with StaBall 6.5 or Reloder 26.
Have yet to try other bullets but these should do.

Model 70 with 23" Kreiger barrel. I am trying 140 Corelokt Ultras (bonded) or Nosler 140 Accubonds. Powder = Norma 203B.

175gr. Nosler Partitions sitting over a mild load of H414 shoots excellently in my Rigby. Currently 162gr AMax sitting on top of 43.3 grains of N160 is my deer load in another rifle.

For the small whitetail we have, I like the 139 Hornady IL at about 2600 fps.
49 grains of IMR-4350 with 150 grain Nosler Partition or 154 Hornady IL will take anything in the lower 48 and probably much of the world. I'm having success with Shooter's World Long Rifle (Lovex SO-65) with 139/140 bullets.

170gr for the bigger stuff
140gr for blesbuck and springbuck

I use 154gr Hornady interlocks with 50gr of IMR4831. Out of my Ruger #1A it does 2730fps and is nicely accurate.
With that IMR4831 ... is that 50.0 gr ? Have you used IMR4831 for any 160 gr bullets ? Thank you!

I'm unfortunately on a diet. Presently in VA hospital as Agent Orange finally caught up with me. Cancer and I no longer can speak. If all goes well I'll be out of here and back home in Thailand by end of July. Tough road but I'm a tough old guy. I'll make it that hunt.

Business is the only way to fly. I'm headed to SA August 25. I'm hoping that business isn't an arm and a leg. If you don't mind, what airline and the cost for your trip. Mine will be convoluted. I'll be flying into the states to pick up my 416 Rigby as Thailand doesn't allow firearms (pay no attention to the daily shootings and killings) so I'll have 2 very long trips.
