NRA,
I am wondering if it would be viable to put together a group of guys to do a group buy on dies for the 404 Jeffery. I was hoping if we could get enough guys together that would commit to buying a set of dies, that it might make it viable for a given company to produce them.
Given the recent situation, I don't foresee any other way to get a set of dies any time soon.
Thoughts??

Ch-4D will be able to make you dies. It may be expensive but you will get them. In one of your previous post I indicated that RCBS HAS THEM.
I BOUGHT ONE. FOR $204.00. Now RCBS is out of them. I tried to help you.

I doubt it is even remotely viable. They can't make 9mm Luger or .223 dies fast enough. Just think of the backlog of the thousands (tens of thousands?) that each maker need to produce in those calibers alone. There's no reason to make 2 dozen .404 Jeffrey die sets from a business standpoint as it's a money loser.

Krish, sorry if you feel annoyed, I tried to get an RCBS die set after your post. No luck... Guess thats why I selfishly asked for a pm with info. I do thank you for the insight though!

All dies along with all brass, primers, bullets and powder are very hard to find right now, all of it!

A proper machine shop can make you anything you need, just costs more money than a set of factory dies. My 338 Lapua AI dies are custom made by the gunsmith that built the rifle.

I think a small machine shop might be the best route. Probably cost the same to make three sets as it would one set. That's how it usually goes at the shop I work at. It won't be cheap but you'd probably get them before the big manufacturers got around to making them. Just my two cents

I have gun nut friends in Europe. I can ask about price and availability for Triebel or other Euro brands. Shipping is not an issue. I recently got a set of Triebel dies for 6.5x63 Messner Magnum in the mail.
Let me know.

Triebel dies are great. I’ve ordered a 9.3x74R set and 5 months later I got to load some rounds with them. These dies are at least as good as Forster. Something to keep in mind Triebel dies in 404 are 1 1/14”dies.

I realize how hard the bug has bit. I’m on the cusp of safari #2 and I’m looking to plan #3 with my 11 year old a year from now while looking at my work schedule for overtime and computing the math of how many shifts are needed….
