Woodleigh reloading manual?

Not any 460s, but I have the 425 and 525. White tail deer go down like they're pole axed. And there's very little extraneous tissue damage. I can practically eat right to the hole.

Where I hunt, shooting distances are rarely further than 50 yards, and never further than 100 (if even that). My 6.5x55 Tikka and my 45-70 are my go-to rifles for that environment. Out of the 6.5, I shoot Woodleigh 160s at a touch under 2400 fps. At 40 or 50 yards, that'll turn a deer's heart to jelly, but ruins very little meat otherwise.

Yes, the 6.5x55 have been the standard here for over 100 years and together with the 45-70 it makes an excellent combo.

Do you get any lead in the barrel?

No lead fouling in my barrel.

Hello, I'm looking for reloading data for my 400 Jeffrey (450/400 3"). I do have some reloading books, but never had a look into the Woodleigh book. Does this book has any information about this caliber?

Regards Hans

Here's the data from African Dangerous Game Cartridges. I have misplaced my Woodleigh Manual, lol. Now I have another item I need to track down tomorrow.

Since someone already provided you with the Woodleigh data, here's some Hornady data.

Midway has DGX in stock. Haven't read back through the whole thread, so I don't know if you know, Woodleigh factory burned down a couple years ago. They are rebuilding, the owner says they should have some bullets to ship by the end of this year.

I realize how hard the bug has bit. I’m on the cusp of safari #2 and I’m looking to plan #3 with my 11 year old a year from now while looking at my work schedule for overtime and computing the math of how many shifts are needed….

Hallo Marius- do you have possibilities for stags in September during the roar? Where are your hunting areas in Romania?
