The start of dakotas lioness mount

Nicely done. That's one beautiful, but ferocious looking lady!

Bill,
What a fantastic lioness mount, Dakota must be beside himself! Relive did a great job, looking forward to seeing her on the base.

Thanks everyone for the great comments. We are very happy with how she turned out. With just one picture to base his work off he did it right in my eyes.

Jeff since you said that I do think he could have found better grass to pose her in. LOL I will give paul a hard time about that one just to bust on him. He is a great taxidermist but fun to kid around with to.

It's a great mount!

Do you have a pic of the final mount?

The final picture will be a few month yet. I am building the base and doing the sand and grass when I get her home. Relive is done with there part other then getting her in the crate for shipping in sept.

@billc I saw these photos on Paul's FB page today. You did a great job with the pose and he did equally a great job with making it a reality!

Great team effort here.

Congratulations to Dakota, Bill, Pieter & Loodt, Paul and the entire crew at Relive.

You have really honored this fantastic animal by collaborating to create some beautiful artwork.

Bob I was trying to forget that. No way tims sweet wife did that on her own unless they threaten her with tim shooting more animals then he already did. LOL

One more pic I forgot to post. Love the look coming through the grass and how focused she is.

Bill that is perfect! You've got to get some grass into the base.

As soon as she is home I will build the base out of walnut wood. They get some sand to match the pictures of were dakota hunted her which is a tan sand more then the red. Then I am going to use real grass like someone said to use on the post early on. I will post picture as I build and finish her base.

Oh yeah, she's real innocent...and easily corrupted! ;)

well after 14 days of fun elk hunting with no elk down I get this pictures which helps easy the pain from all the walking. She is ready to ship as soon as the permit comes. After the crate
was done paul went and reworked it to make it smaller to cut down on my cost for shipping. So one lioness, eland 4 springbuck, impala, bushbuck, wildbeest in the crate rest will ship with giraffe

I'm unfortunately on a diet. Presently in VA hospital as Agent Orange finally caught up with me. Cancer and I no longer can speak. If all goes well I'll be out of here and back home in Thailand by end of July. Tough road but I'm a tough old guy. I'll make it that hunt.

Nice one there. I guided for mulies and elk for about 10 or so years in northern New Mexico.

Business is the only way to fly. I'm headed to SA August 25. I'm hoping that business isn't an arm and a leg. If you don't mind, what airline and the cost for your trip. Mine will be convoluted. I'll be flying into the states to pick up my 416 Rigby as Thailand doesn't allow firearms (pay no attention to the daily shootings and killings) so I'll have 2 very long trips.
