Has anybody hunted or heard of Amanita Safaris?

Amanita safaris is owned and operated by Erik Terblanche the property is located on the borders with South Africa and Botswana, Erik has been in the hunting industry since the late 80's and has always ran a good solid company with many return clientele, trophy quality is excellent Erik is a brilliant guide this most probably comes from some skills picked up during the Angolan bush war (when men where men) I thought I would add a plug as he runs his own little company and is not a gold digging outfit lke many others in Africa.

I hunted for Erik for a period of 6 years, you will have good safari.

Is he any relation to the crook Dirk Terblanche???

At this point I would have a hard time giving money to anybody named Terblanche...

Negative Terminator by no means, shape or form or way he hails from the Northwest province and has a very very solid relation with his clients, Have you still had no luck with these guys, I did a google search and the only guy by that name that seems to operate in S.A. is from Kwazulu Natal??? Am I correct in assuming that this is were you hunted?

Once again terminator Erik Terblance has a good buisiness I got rolled over by a Smith once but "YOU CANT TAR EVERYONE WITH THE SAME BRUSH" Someone on this sight tought me this. Amanita is a great very personable company, as any company little things slip is but it is how they are handled that sets you apart from all the rest.

Amanita has no affiliation whatsoever with the company you hunted with.

Fortunately for me I was warned off Dirk. Others on this site were not so lucky. And yes, Dirk operates in KZN from what I have gathered.

So Erik and Dirk are not brothers or relatives then? I guess if that is true he might be a stand up guy.

That's correct Terminator, they are not related.

Amanita Safaris

Me and a freind booked an archery hunt with Amanita Safaris Auguust 1, 2011. What a great hunt we had!!! I shot 6 animals and my friend shot 5 . They were all great trophys . Erik and his staff are the best!!! I would highly recomend Amanita Safaris !!!!

Well done Dworth this means that all was well and you where rewarded for your hard work Motor has always been a good blind, when you talk to them again tell Erik and Altus I said hi, I picked up your thread this morning and thought I should give you a word of comfort, but it seems that you did well great to hear of your success Erik has the habit of sending away happy clients.

Did you have your trophies mounted there or brought back to the states. I asked Eric about a taxidermist there and he recommended Hatatri Taxidermy. Appreciate any help you can give as I have a hunt booked next year with him.

I'm unfortunately on a diet. Presently in VA hospital as Agent Orange finally caught up with me. Cancer and I no longer can speak. If all goes well I'll be out of here and back home in Thailand by end of July. Tough road but I'm a tough old guy. I'll make it that hunt.

Nice one there. I guided for mulies and elk for about 10 or so years in northern New Mexico.
