Scary part is that the entire village, or whats left, is holding onto the snake skin.

Worked with quite a few of these in my days at the Reptile Warehouse. This is one gorgeous snake though..
Late response, but this is a Reticulated Python. Very aggressive species and largest next to the Anaconda. Beautiful though. Having said that, your African Rock Python is not a happy camper either. Worked with some of those as well. The bigger they got the more attitude for sure.. Still, they are amazing and yes, terrifying as well. Thank you for sharing these pics.

Not a python but a constrictor still, the Colombian Rainbow Boa. Stays very small but this is one gorgeous reptile. My favorite non-venomous snake. When you see one its skin is iridescent, like Mother of Pearl. Very docile.

PYTHON WARNING!


Apparently this python swallowed a drunken mineworker near Northam in Limpopo whilst he slept underneath a tree,a warning was issued not to get drunk and sleep in the bush as there are many pythons lol
