The Democrat party needs a good sledgehammering.

Put another way, from one of my favorite literary characters (Robert Parker's Virgil Cole):
"Sometimes you got to kill one person early, to save killing four or five later."
The Democrat party needs a good sledgehammering.

I would add Jake Sullivan to the list.O
Obama, Schumer, Pelosi, the deep state goon squad.
A lot of Trumps failings were because he had to fight the democrats, the media and many in his own party to accomplish anything. 24hrs of Russia,Russia, Russia would stall any attempt to do anything. Not to mention being called a racist and anti semite at the drop of a hat. This is coming from someone that does not care for the man at all.I would expand on your assessment to include freedom caucus folks. Both parties are increasingly recalcitrant. When discussing why Trump failed to unify the country, there is plenty of blame to go around, but as President, Trump has to own it. I think the same thing applies to President Biden and his failure to be a unifier.
While allowing the Trump tax cuts to expire! So much for anyone making under 200k not having their taxes raised.Once again, Biden's lying little meat puppet, KJB is Lying about Biden's tax hike agenda during a WH presser.
Just a taste of that agenda, is capital gains taxes increasing from 20% up to 45%.
If you are speaking of Finland, you are incorrect. The Finns have a strong capitalist economic system. Their tax system is more progressive (the economic term - not the political one) than ours and their proportional debt is far less. In fact, Finland is often cited as a model of what capitalism could look like with a broader safety net. Indeed, considering the economic limitations our specific form of capitalism places on individuals, the Finnish (or even Nordic version) is worth a little bit of study. It is also a socialist country.
No thanks!

This is a could spot where you could start before your next assertion.
Like the United States, Finland has a capitalist economy. Why are Finns so much happier than us?
Finland has universal healthcare, affordable childcare, free college, and copious paid vacations — and yes, it's in fact a capitalist country.www.businessinsider.com

Interesting set of data.Finland has a hybrid form of socialism. Roughly 35% of the wealth is controlled by the government, and 90% of workers are unionized.
Additionally, every worker pays over 50% in marginal income taxes, 25% in value added tax and 20% corporate tax.
Go on over to Finland and enjoy a $60 pizza or a $15 beer at the local pub.
You might want to consider that before your next ass-ertion.
As I originally said.....no thanks !
Facing resistance is nothing new. Being criticized is nothing new. Being investigated is nothing new. That is why it is so important for presidents to win over a large segment of the population, so that they can weather these storms. Some succeed. Some fail. All should be judged by their outcomes, not their excuses.A lot of Trumps failings were because he had to fight the democrats, the media and many in his own party to accomplish anything. 24hrs of Russia,Russia, Russia would stall any attempt to do anything. This forum has it's share of sanctimonious pseudo fact checkers.I must admit, I enjoy the repartee on this thread, with the occasional haymaker and invective comment thrown in for good measure. Hail fellow well met!
There have been numerous studies that suggest a high personal income tax paired with a low corporate income tax is best for economic growth without running a deficit. This seems to be a popular strategy in many European countries, including Finland and Sweden. Just something to chew on when we discuss tax rates.
Like the United States, Finland has a capitalist economy. Why are Finns so much happier than us? . . . :
I remember seeing Jerry Clower live at a Key Club convention in North Carolina in the mid 70s. We'd never heard of him before but he turned out to be really funny even by jaded teenage boy standards.Jerry Clower has the same joke (about his uncles farm and a city boy he took with him)
And how he grew up in a Jewish neighborhood while attending synagogue in Delaware.you and I rarely agree on much..
but on this I absolutely agree with you....
Biden will swear he'll never send another artillery round today... because someone told him thats what he needs to say to get a vote..
and then send a C17 over tomorrow with a dozen palates of 105mm rounds... and make sure he tells everyone in a Synagogue how he supports Israel next week when hes visiting them..
I would argue that a high corporate income tax is more of an impediment to growth and innovation. Many European countries also subtract inflation from capital gains so as only to tax real income.
I would also disagree with the high personal income tax is best for growth. Probably does more to impede innovation than any other factor.
There’s resistance and then there is unadulterated hate and that is what Trump faced. In my lifetime I’ve never seen such vitriolic hate and being undermined at every turn.Facing resistance is nothing new. Being criticized is nothing new. Being investigated is nothing new. Do you agree with all the opinions and statements of your country’s elitists? I highly doubt all Americans would sayThe USA has labelled both Canada and the EU as threats to their "National Security" in order to justify new duties declared by their military Commander-in-Chief on the international trade of steel and aluminum. So I suggest that USA made products such as firearms and ammunition should be sold exclusively within the USA so Canada and Europe can help our esteemed neighbour defend themselves and improve their national security. Sadly, I have come to the conclusion that Canadians and Europeans should make do with their own products exclusively. For all our AfricaHunting friends in Canada, Europe, Africa and elsewhere, please don't buy any American made products. Lets's support the USA in their concern. One can never be too careful when there are evil guys to deal with, and it is our duty to help, as always.
