Norma Solids

For the hunting guide, there are three considerations for ammunition: reliable feeding, reliable ignition and reliable straight-line penetration

Many guides like to carry their rifles with an empty chamber and only actually load when danger threatens. The Norma Solids are designed to ensure reliable feeding in just about any make of rifle, including old, well-worn ones.

The law often forces a guide to allow a charging animal to get too close for comfort before he may shoot for effect. Unless he’s carrying a double rifle, he’s limited to one shot. Being made from a proprietary brass alloy, Norma Solids are guaranteed not to break up, turn or deviate.

They will give straight-line penetration through whatever they encounter. Like the PH series of ammunition, these rounds are loaded under higher than normal standards of quality control to ensure absolute reliability.

I'm curious:

What is the hardness (BHN) of the Norma solids?

I haven't been able to find anything online about the hardness of solid bullets, Norma or otherwise.

Thanks

I'm unfortunately on a diet. Presently in VA hospital as Agent Orange finally caught up with me. Cancer and I no longer can speak. If all goes well I'll be out of here and back home in Thailand by end of July. Tough road but I'm a tough old guy. I'll make it that hunt.

Nice one there. I guided for mulies and elk for about 10 or so years in northern New Mexico.

Business is the only way to fly. I'm headed to SA August 25. I'm hoping that business isn't an arm and a leg. If you don't mind, what airline and the cost for your trip. Mine will be convoluted. I'll be flying into the states to pick up my 416 Rigby as Thailand doesn't allow firearms (pay no attention to the daily shootings and killings) so I'll have 2 very long trips.
