Please let me know your thoughts, and yes the outfitter has a very strong success rate on these cats, especially the leopard.

I think it's a fair deal.

a fair deal is a good thing, but my ancestry dictates I need something to push me over the edge, maybe a free dik dik??....hahahaha

A free dik, dik! lol

I'm guessing you are looking at hunting northern Namibia. If the outfitter runs a successful operation, it's definitely worth it! Some guys end up doing close to (2) 14 day safaris sometimes in Namibia to fill a leopard tag, it all depends on how lucky you are, what the weather is doing, how hard the leopards are hunted...etc. I hear spotted hyena can be fairly easily had in northern namibia. It's a dream hunt for sure!!!

yes, this would be in Northern Namibia...I got my brown hyena in North Western Province of SA, just over a week ago, so now the ''spotted'' is on my mind. Cheetah is kind of a bonus, as it is not really an animal I have thought much about, but they are quite spectacular as well, and I would be more than happy to try for one. Living in Canada, we can have a few extra options for Namibia predators.

If you deduct the refunds for animals not taken you get a daily rate of $530 which is pretty good for a dg hunt. Add in the transfer to/from Windhoek plus Etosha and fishing it sounds like a real good deal. The caveat...........do you have a legitimate chance at leopard and cheetah. As long as you do it sounds great. If not it becomes an expensive hyena, genet, caracal, wildcat hunt. Check his references for leopard and cheetah. Best of luck.

I agree with you Wheels, we are on the same page! Canadians are lucky to be able to hunt cheetahs! I'm going to hunt Northern Namibia one of these days

It's nice to be agreed with occasionally. Makes me feel good.

Living anywhere but the good ole USA you get to keep your cheetah. A farmer I know in Namibia has killed and let lay the last 16 cheetah's he has seen on his property. They kill his livestock and have no economic worth to him. If he had a market to sell them to American hunters it might be worth letting them hang around and managing them for profit like the rest of his game animals. If we could just make USFW employees take an economics 101 class. (non Keynesian of course)

That is a good one! The non-Kenya economics 101 class for wildlife. lol

I'm unfortunately on a diet. Presently in VA hospital as Agent Orange finally caught up with me. Cancer and I no longer can speak. If all goes well I'll be out of here and back home in Thailand by end of July. Tough road but I'm a tough old guy. I'll make it that hunt.
