My eldest boy and I decided to bowhunt Agagia, in Namibia, this last June. It is an experience him and I will never forget. All I have to do now to put a smile on his face is say "Namibia" or "Agagia".

We were there for a week and enjoyed every second of it. The hospitality of Tielman and Carin Neethling was great and the wildlife was amazing.

I managed to harvest a Gemsbok (37inch cow), a Kudu (47.5 inch ) and a few Warthogs and Jett managed to harvest his first Warthog.( not bad for a 8 year old )

I can highly recommend bowhunting Namibia with Agagia.

thanks for posting.
i really hope to do that sometime - as well as spending a bit of time
visiting the Himba people in N. Namibia.

The problem with this forum - is that too many things are going onto my "bucket list".
Hahahahha!!!

How much does it cost to hunt antelope in Namibia?

Well done to both of you nothing like dropping the string on a piggy

TimRumble - Congratulations on a super hunt. To be able to share this adventure with your son is astounding. Love the video.

Noticed the penetration on the red hartebeest wasn't very deep. Open on impact broadhead?

Thanks for the video! Glad you had a good trip!

Congrat's on a great hunt. That's a memories you and your son will share forever!

It looks like you have a great hunting partner. Congrats on a great hunt. Great job on the video. Thanks for sharing with us.

Thank you.

Yes Stretch, the broadhead was a Rage Chisel tip.The shot placement was bad and the arrow stopped up against the bone. A few inches the the rear or down and it would have been all over, but we did not manage to recover this one. You win some, you lose some.

Upepo, you can get a price list from Agagia's website or email Carin for a price list. All the details are on their website.

Hey Buff-Buster.
Yeah - Molon Laabe mate. I'm new here and just noticed that. I got it :)

Thank you for posting your hunt report, video and pictures.

Congratulations on a successful hunt.

Congrats on a great hunt and very nice trophies.

Thanks for sharing.

That's how the hit appears in the video. A little forward, think you hit the leg bone. On my Africa hunt I shot high on one animal (shoulder) and did not penatrate well with a cut-on-impact fixed blade. Know how you feel. On the other hand, you had a great hunt, shot some super animals, and were able to share your son's first kill with him. Doesn't get any better than that. Congratulation's again.

Hunting at Agagia

Thank you for posting your hunt report, video and pictures.

I am on the process of working out the cost at Agagia I have seen some good videos of the outfit can I get some more information about them who has hunted there I am a bowhunter,
I was lead down the wrong track this year by mislead out fit who claimed to be for bowhunting ended up the distance at the water holes were too far for a bow only manage to bag 4 animals but not the ones I went to get.

Sorry to hear that you felt misled.
(Please post a hunt report so others can learn)

There are good outfitters that understand bow hunting.
Ask them more direct questions on bow hunting as you research your next hunt Bow hunt.
Get pictures.
References from Bow hunters.

Noting things like the OP's Equipment info is a start.
APA Mamba M7 80#
Black Eagle Arrows Carnivore, Zombie Slayer 300s
Helix/Rage/Muzzy 125grn Broadheads

Good luck.

Agagia is definately set up for bow hunting. We had days where we had animals 3 meters away from the hide infront of the shooting window.

I'm unfortunately on a diet. Presently in VA hospital as Agent Orange finally caught up with me. Cancer and I no longer can speak. If all goes well I'll be out of here and back home in Thailand by end of July. Tough road but I'm a tough old guy. I'll make it that hunt.

Nice one there. I guided for mulies and elk for about 10 or so years in northern New Mexico.

Business is the only way to fly. I'm headed to SA August 25. I'm hoping that business isn't an arm and a leg. If you don't mind, what airline and the cost for your trip. Mine will be convoluted. I'll be flying into the states to pick up my 416 Rigby as Thailand doesn't allow firearms (pay no attention to the daily shootings and killings) so I'll have 2 very long trips.
