Well I have a couple places that I have been in contact with in the UK, but the prices are so inexpensive that I am worried that it wont be what I am looking for, as I am looking for high gold SCI scoring animals. A guy can add in a roe buck hunt also depending on the timing of the hunt. It seems that the muntjac and CWD are more of a nuisance type hunt over there, so I am hoping to make that play in my favour, or maybe hunt for a couple of each species or some other species as well while I am there.

Sounds to me that you have a plan. Let me know how it works out and who you hunt with, what I've read is that its weekend 3/4 day hunts and you would be staying at the local hotel and eating at the local restaurants as for the reason of the lower cost. let me know how yours go's.

Try Mark Howard, stalking in England. His outfit is superb! A little known fact is that Roe, Munty and Cwd is very inexpensive over there and extremely successful. It is very possible to get into very high metal class, especially the CWD.

No antler so on the CWD, just teeth. The Munty has both horns and teeth.

Hi just joined this site, so please excuse my barging in.

I am a professional deer stalker in the U.K. and have taken many clients over the past 35 years.
CWD have a season in the UK which runs from the 1st November to the end of March for both sexes. Muntjac have no season for either sexes and may be hunted all year round in the UK.

The best time for CWD is about Christmas time as this is generally when the bucks rut, this makes them easier to identify from the does as they are both the same size and unless you are near enough to see the teeth you could end up collecting a doe.

Muntjac are best hunted in the winter, spring and summer are basically a waste of time in my opinion and you will often find both CWD and Muntjac together on the same area.

Let me know if I can be of help, I have access to all the species in the U.K.

    Best wishes

    U.K. Hunter

    Good Morning,

I have sent you a PM through the site with the information you requested, I hope you find it of some use.

I notice from your previous post that you may also be interested in other species at the sametime. Just as a heads up so to speak, Roe Bucks will be out of season at the prime time to hunt CWD and Muntjac, although Fallow Buck are in season at this time, trying to get a trophy Fallow at this time of year is not easy. The best time for Fallow Bucks is in mid to late October when they rut, this nearly coincides with the Red Deer and Sika deer rut in Scotland, but the season ends on October 20th for these deer in Scotland, but is much longer in England.

Although its the same land mass, the seasons are different in many instances, but not all.

I am away with clients as from tonight on Roe Bucks so may not respond immediately to any questions you may have.

Let me know if I can be of any assistance.

    ATB

    U.K. Hunter
