Looking For The Best Safari Rifle Case

You should probably go ahead and get a booth at DSC. cha ching!!!! :)

The operational side of something like this would drive me nuts. Happy to throw out a million dollar idea for anyone out there to get rich. (Zim dollars of course)

I probably would have rented a Tuffpak on my first trip if it was available.

Yeah, the shipping of the rental would kill you.... I wonder though, in big time hunting places like Dallas or Houston, could this actually work at one of the large hunting stores? Credit card deposit, no shipping required, and you'd hit break even pretty quickly.

It might work in a big city. Go for it. When you make the Forbes 400 I can say I knew you back when you posted on AH.

If a customer lived a ways away he would have to be responsible for the shipping both ways to make this work.

LOL!

Wouldn't that be a hoot!!!

Too much work for too little reward independently. What I really meant is that I'm surprised some local place hasn't tried it.

I have an Americase two scoped rifle case. Mine is about 10 years old. Alaska twice, Wyoming three times, Zimbabwe once and will go to New Zealand next April. I have never had a problem and my scopes have always come through still dead-on. I bought their ammunition box too for the Zim trip - it held 60 rounds of 375 and 40 rounds of 30-06 along with a couple knives and cleaning kit.

I use Red Oxx for duffle bags, day packs, and soft gun cases for in the trucks. Super happy with those as well.

Well, I bought the Tuffpak and the first hunt that I will use it on is a trip to Turkey for Ibex in February.

I shouldn't have any issues flying to Turkey with the rifle and clothes, etc. should I?

Nothing TSA!!! They are not allowed to open a firearms case with out you present!

I have the SKB military case in black and love it! Sometimes if you watch amazon you can pick it up for a steal! I bought mine for $175 just keep your eyes out!

I drilled two holes and put two master locks on that I know can only be cut with a cutting wheel no cutters.

I think the Cabelas double rifle case for $200 is nice, I think it's a better option than the Pelican 1750. If something goes bad, return it to Cabelas for a refund.

I'm unfortunately on a diet. Presently in VA hospital as Agent Orange finally caught up with me. Cancer and I no longer can speak. If all goes well I'll be out of here and back home in Thailand by end of July. Tough road but I'm a tough old guy. I'll make it that hunt.

Business is the only way to fly. I'm headed to SA August 25. I'm hoping that business isn't an arm and a leg. If you don't mind, what airline and the cost for your trip. Mine will be convoluted. I'll be flying into the states to pick up my 416 Rigby as Thailand doesn't allow firearms (pay no attention to the daily shootings and killings) so I'll have 2 very long trips.
