mine is a kimber montana with a compact 2x7 leupold in . 257 roberts that weighs in a 6.2 lbs scoped, that shoots 3 into 3/4"-1" groups at 100 yards/.

Very nice -though the bolt handle seems to be on the wrong side.

I have always been a big 6.5 fan. Years ago I had a 6.5x57R in a drilling that took a lot of roe deer and even three or four red deer. Always hit way above its weight. I currently have a wee little 6.5x57 that has taken a number of whitetail, a 6.5x55 in a R8, and my newest set up - a .257 Wby in a R8. What velocity do you get from the short .280 case?

6.5 is great. It’s no big surprise the creedmore is so popular. I just wanted something with a bit more horsepower or I would have went 6.5x55. I use small copper 113 grain. It shoots 1350fps.

Nice rifle. If I wasn’t a lefty this build would have a kimber action

Wow, fantastic!
Few rifles are both elegant and high tec...
Congratulations
Great action, barrel, caliber, optic...your rifle has it all!

Nice to see the bolt on the correct side for 10% of us. :A Shades:

My light weight rifle weighs in at 3.096kg…(6.8 lbs approx.) including sling, 5 rounds (150grain loads) and scope cover.
Rifle is a Sako 85 Finlight in an aftermarket carbon fibre stock. Kahles 4x fixed power scope, optilock rings. Ammunition used is Sako factory “super hammerhead “ 150 grain. Will constantly put 3 shots on around 3 inches at 200 yards, from a cold barrel, if I do my part.

Very nice. I always wanted a left hand finnlite, but they never made one in the configuration I liked. Is that a kiwi composites stock?

I took the sable in the photo of my avatar with a 6.5x284. the same trip i took nine other animals and all one shot kills.

Thanks again for your support on the Rhodesian Shotgun thread. From the amount of "LIKES" it received, it appears there was only ONE person who objected. Hes also the same one who continually insisted on interjecting his posts that werent relevant to the thread.
