@Foxi wish we could doc the tail and remove the dew claws, but the law here is very strict, leave them as they are born or get prosecuted:V Guillotine:

It's been a while, so a update. Flake is now a year old. She has passed her Natural Abillity test in blood tracking, completed her first duck hunt with a few water retrieves ( she still swims like a puppy) we have done fox, bird and rabbit drags and retrieves, fox and Canada Geese are still a bit heavy for her, but she battles on dragging them. She has done her first game follow up on a hunt too. I can now run her left, right, stop and come all on the whistle at out to 300meters. We have started training on pheasants and it's getting better, she points and stands, flushes on command and does not chase the birds once they fly. She has also been rabbit proofed. Getting there slowly!

Thanks Simon, many blessings for 2016. Season already started in December and just keeps rolling now so all good. Thank you, been a long road with her but she is coming into her own now.

One of the toughest things in the world loosing a dog you love.

I'm unfortunately on a diet. Presently in VA hospital as Agent Orange finally caught up with me. Cancer and I no longer can speak. If all goes well I'll be out of here and back home in Thailand by end of July. Tough road but I'm a tough old guy. I'll make it that hunt.

Nice one there. I guided for mulies and elk for about 10 or so years in northern New Mexico.

Business is the only way to fly. I'm headed to SA August 25. I'm hoping that business isn't an arm and a leg. If you don't mind, what airline and the cost for your trip. Mine will be convoluted. I'll be flying into the states to pick up my 416 Rigby as Thailand doesn't allow firearms (pay no attention to the daily shootings and killings) so I'll have 2 very long trips.
