Making the dead deer prop for the new movie out "Split"
See the Reference Picture they picked out on my work table....
This is one of the 8 pictures of dead deer I had given them.
Pulled off the web to choose from they picked this pose one....

Take this mannikin and change it to what they need......and want...
Make it look dead, very limp muscle structure and flat where its weight would be on the ground and lay it completely on its side. Cut it into over 25 pieces and re-structure the anatomy.

You never cease to amaze me. That's a fantastic mount. If a guy had the room (in his trophy room) that mount would look really cool laying on the floor. Well done.

Very cool!
Will keep an eye out in the movie:A Popcorn:

If a guy wanted a cool realistic scene in his trophy room, you'd just set that deer on a big asphalt base with a yellow line down the middle, and hang a rusted up front front clip with winch mount bumper from a 1996 F-150 about waist height over it. Just break the headlight and hang some guts in the grill for the finishing touches. Of course you'd need to road kill and grill the buck first, then mount the road kill buck as road kill to portray it proper. That would be some real high quality redneck art. And fella, I'd know.

For a guy that has made a living making animals look alive you sure can make em look dead too!

Wow

Thanks for sharing!

Congrats on a great opportunity for you! They came to the right place.

So life like..

simply amazing, have to share some of these pics
Always did like the look of the waterfowl or birds hanging on a stringer, this takes it to a whole new level

properly cutting and adjusting the form takes a very good eye, a lot of work.... and a ton of bondo!

You did very well, NICE WORK!

Thanks everyone and HuntingGold. But I don't use bonds for reconstruction it's all foamed back together

Bondo was meant to be a general term for filler. Foam takes even more time. Again nice work on putting that mount together!

When I find the right deer, I have another dead mount in mind but this will be way easier to put together!

I realize how hard the bug has bit. I’m on the cusp of safari #2 and I’m looking to plan #3 with my 11 year old a year from now while looking at my work schedule for overtime and computing the math of how many shifts are needed….

I'd like to get some too.

Hallo Marius- do you have possibilities for stags in September during the roar? Where are your hunting areas in Romania?

I'm about ready to pull the trigger on another rifle but would love to see your rifle first, any way you could forward a pic or two?
