Did a Father-Son hunt this weekend in South Texas. The ranch owner keeps three feral hogs that were trapped on the ranch in a 5 acre enclosure (not sure why). The biggest one likes Corona! Glad there was a fence between me and the hog!

thats a big swine shakey .
did you whack all his relations ?

No - aside from the 3 that were spared and placed in that enclosure, they've done a very good job of making the others feel very unwelcome. No one has seen one on the ranch in several weeks.

Pet hogs... amazing.

That is a big critter.

Shakey your suppose to marinate the pig in the beer not the beer in the pig.

What's worse is when they feed him ham and cheese sandwiches. There's something sick about that ....

Ham sandwich..... I guess that makes them cannibals.:p

They like Purina AntlerMax too! This sow about ate me broke until I put a fence around this feeder!

Being from Texas.... We have about 5 million of those things last count.... They are omnivores.... Meaning they will eat anything.... They destroyed deer feeders full of corn as well as protein feeders.... However, stuff that really brought them in was soured corn(nasty)..... As well as grape Kool-Aid powder with diesel..... They love to lick & roll around in it..... If you can locate them, and bait them with wind right, they will come..... They will smell you long before they see or hear you!

Shoot them all! They have migrated into all Southeast states and the destroy habitat. We have a rule at my hunt club that says if you see a hog you must shoot it.

Wish we could grenade those bastards..... They have been here and invasive since Columbus. You will not irradicate them 1 shot at a time..... Texas A&M trying to come up with a feed that sterilizes them orally. Who knows if it will work.... But it's a start....

I know.... Aggie jokes start....

Texas A&M also has several trap plans available on line that seem to work.

Borracho el chancho. Muy buena foto.

Can you imagine how much beer it might take to actually make that sucker drunk?

Christmas hog, with a bow on it! :)

I have to settle for a Honey Baked spiral-sliced ham at Christmas!

Getting hungry thinking about it...

Everyone with a rifle should be required to kill at least two hogs a year just to qualify for a hunting permit! Ha. :)

Hallo Marius- do you have possibilities for stags in September during the roar? Where are your hunting areas in Romania?

I'm about ready to pull the trigger on another rifle but would love to see your rifle first, any way you could forward a pic or two?
Thanks,

Love your rifle! I'm needing a heavier rifle for Africa. Sold my .375 Dakota Safari several trips ago. Would you have any interest in a trade of some sort involving the custom 338/06 I have listed here on the site ( I have some room on my asking price. I also have a large quantity of the reloading components and new Redding dies as well as a box of A-Square Dead Tough ammo.
