Hello fellow outdoor enthusiasts.
My name is Paul Brits and I'm a PH and Outfitter from South Africa and owner of Africa Motsomi Hunting Adventures. I have hunted Southern Africa since I was a young boy as I grew up in a hunting family.
The name "Skankwan" originated as follows: Skankwan is the story about a young Bushman who fled into the deep Kalahari after his parents were killed by someone. He spent a number of years all by himself roaming the Kalahari and planning his revenge. Eventually he returned and killed the murderer of his parents. Back in the late 70's and early 80's I hunted and travelled the Kalahari portion of Botswana extensively with my father and brother. My father knew the Kalahari like the back of his hand to such an extent that his cousin, who sometimes travelled with us, called him "Skankwan". So I was little Skankwan.
I love being outdoors and enjoy fishing in the off season when we have nice hot weather. Sitting around the campfire in the evenings after a great day out in the bush is certainly one of the highlights of my daily routine.
I look forward to learning nice new things on the forum.
Happy hunting!
