For Sale Trophy Room Book - A Hunter's Wanderings In Africa By FC Selous First Edition 1893

If you decide to let go of that copy. I would be interested.

Didn't mean to jump in the thread, but @Kevin Peacocke is that a chocolate lab rolling on the zebra skin.

Vette447, I will be heading to Zim summer of 2024, so I could be the long term plan. BTW, what part of Oklahoma. I have a house in Edmond.

Just for fun, here are a few photos of my "keeper" copy of this book. Sadly, this one is not for sale:

This one is inscribed by Selous to his friend E.N. Buxton. Seems Mr Buxton was a well known conservationist and was well connected within colonial Africa. At Selous' suggestion, Teddy Roosevelt enlisted help from Buxton in planning for his 1909-10 safari. Numerous letters back and forth between Roosevelt and Buxton discussing plans for the safari can be found in the US national archive.
WOW what an amazing book ... a keeper for sure.

Thank you all for the kind comments.

Traveler, I am close to Edmond in the OKC metro area.

Oh if only. Excellent book and what a dream book for sure.

Business is the only way to fly. I'm headed to SA August 25. I'm hoping that business isn't an arm and a leg. If you don't mind, what airline and the cost for your trip. Mine will be convoluted. I'll be flying into the states to pick up my 416 Rigby as Thailand doesn't allow firearms (pay no attention to the daily shootings and killings) so I'll have 2 very long trips.

Hi EGS

I read your thread with interest. Would you mind sending me that PDF? May I put it on my website?
