If anyone is going to SCI and needs a cape for a buff bull shoulder mount please let me know. I’ll be at the SCI convention in Nashville and I can bring it with me. $300
Here’s the bull ( I got this buff in Tanzania in 2019)

Just FYI - when we spotted this bull he was facing dead away feeding - the PH saw the horn width and said to shoot that bull, so when he opened up enough to give me a little rib cage I took the shot(entered behind last rib and lumped up under the skin of the opposite side shoulder). It was upon walk up that the PH realized he was still a bit young… too late for CPR then. I tell you all this just to forgo some of the “you shot an immature bull” comments (I’ve been accosted on another site already about this). I was told always listen to the PH so I did. It was my first time hunting buff so it was what it was.

looks like you had a successful hunt in a beautiful place with a fabulous firearm. i cannot imagine how any normal, healthy human being could accost you or criticize you for anything. i am envious of you

Beautiful cape buffalo and you were right to listen to your PH. Good luck with your sale.

If I was still in the business I’d scarf it up in a heart beat. Unfortunately those are days gone by. Hope you can sell it. It’s a good looking cape.

Enlighten me here, please. This buff was taken over three years ago, and was salted at the time and apparently remains so. Is this cape still viable after this much time without having been tanned or mounted somehow??

I'm unfortunately on a diet. Presently in VA hospital as Agent Orange finally caught up with me. Cancer and I no longer can speak. If all goes well I'll be out of here and back home in Thailand by end of July. Tough road but I'm a tough old guy. I'll make it that hunt.

Nice one there. I guided for mulies and elk for about 10 or so years in northern New Mexico.

Business is the only way to fly. I'm headed to SA August 25. I'm hoping that business isn't an arm and a leg. If you don't mind, what airline and the cost for your trip. Mine will be convoluted. I'll be flying into the states to pick up my 416 Rigby as Thailand doesn't allow firearms (pay no attention to the daily shootings and killings) so I'll have 2 very long trips.
