So as you all know, this year is looking bleak on the hunting front in Africa.

I was planning to take the family to the Northern Cape in August, and was days from pulling the trigger on the flights back in early February, but drug my feet and didn't do it.

My question is based around the idea of buying flights now for the original trip or there about, with the full intention of flexing them to the first available date. Delta tickets round trip can be had for $660-760 with full rights and the ability to flex the flight at no additional cost if done by Sept 30.

My only holdup is by September can we be confident that we will know when we can use it? I know there are so many opinions its like a-holes, but has anyone else done this?

I have thought about this a lot lately. Every time I come up with the same conclusion. Right now it’s like gambling. Don’t bet more than you can afford to lose. For that reason I have not done it. But that’s just me.

Hi EGS

I read your thread with interest. Would you mind sending me that PDF? May I put it on my website?
