Ok this one is not about SD, foot pounds, or performance, here we are just talking visual appeal. The Miss Universe or Mr Universe of ammo. What round has that special combination of shape, proportion, or whatever it takes to ring your bells?
For me it is the 450/400 3", because of just that - shape of the larger back case compared to the bullet end, and the relative length of the two sections - perfect!

I settled on two cartridges for their performance and design. The first is the 400 H&H. A modern take on a classic design:

The next is the 308 Noma Mag. A purpose driven design that is built on what came before:

I like the belt - it is a fussy feature that complicates reloading. But, I like the throw back look. Maybe tinkering with them is part of it for me? Admittedly I probably would not like it for huge volume reloading because the case prep takes more time.

The 400H&H is nice, not unlike the 450/400, but the pointy one is too Darth Vader for me.

Sorry Kevin... I can't choose just one.

There is a T.G. Sheppard song from 1981 that perfectly sums this up for me, though Mr. Sheppard was talking about women: I Loved'em Every One. Not a cop out - my honest feelings.

Big, little or short or tall... Wish I could kept them all... I loved'em every one...

The 22 Hornet!

She is slim, tall for her size, and easy to handle

The belt dates the Norma Mag a little, but you get a real sense of that purposeful European design chic :)

Since you used the term "round," and as an artilleryman, I have always had a soft sot for the 105mm howitzer.

But from a pure balanced lethality perspective, nothing quite matches the 120mm APDS tank round.

How long has the apds been around? It that what the Israelis used to such lethal effect in the Yom Kipur war?

Being a submariner on a boomer...going with the Trident D5. Launched from underwater and it never gets wet...how's that for sexy!

30.06 Federal Trophy Bonded Tip , nickel case and bullet with a wicked yellow/ translucent tip. I'm not at home or I'd put up a pic lol
Was just about to try those out, but in .270 Win. I think the proportions of the 270 Winchester are anatomically correct.

Is this rifle sold? If not what is the weight of it and do you know if there is enough difference in diameter between the 35W and the 9.3 to allow for a rebore to a 9.3x62 which is what I am after?
Thanks,
Gary (Just down the road in Springfield)

Forgive me if this is the incorrect area, I signed up to this forum just now because I wanted to be on the list to purchase a copy of your autobiography. Please feel free to pass my information along to whomever is selling. Thank you so much. I look forward to it!
I like the Tillie in my picture. They are supposed to fit loose (2 fingers inside hat band), have mesh for cooling, and hold their shape after washing.
