It looks to have had a bit of a rough life, and I’ve no idea as to the condition of the bore, but at 950 GBP it’s definitely worth a look!

Thanks for sharing! It looks like it has seen action.

Definitely been there, done that. If one is a fan of the cartridge and maker, as a 1912 vintage it doesn’t get any better. But, she’s a long way from original.

At 950 Pounds, I do knot now.

I would love to have THAT rifle a perfect mate to my prewar .416R Rigby! Good bore/bad bore I bet it would kill a impala @ 100 meters every time!

Definitely capable of taking an impala at 100 yards. The shitty aluminum scope mounts would have to go (what to do about the holes I am not sure...at that point it becomes a slippery slope).

Those weaver bases are quite classic! I found a picture of the gunsmiths first project after some research.

He has come a long way since he started his custom Mini-14 mount business. Lol

But to own a 1912 John Rigby highland stalker...a thrill.

If only the stories could be read from each ding, nick, and repair that have been accumulated over the last 116 years. What a story she might tell...

Transgressions can be forgiven, and corrected by skilled hands...

If I had the money at hand I'd buy the little rifle and put it right.

You can buy a M98, and you can buy a 275 Rigby, but it's pretty rare that one comes across a M98, made by Rigby in the year 1912, in 275 Rigby!

Hell on wheels to get it here to Minnesota I'm afraid. I would also CT, if it was for sale domestically I would own it...

Wife might spontaneously combust if she found out I bought another 275 Rigby

It seems to have left the website. However there is now a rather nice 500 double there made by rigby too!! Its a hammer gun so BP more than likely but at just shy of £6k not bad considering..............

Is this rifle sold? If not what is the weight of it and do you know if there is enough difference in diameter between the 35W and the 9.3 to allow for a rebore to a 9.3x62 which is what I am after?
Thanks,
Gary (Just down the road in Springfield)

Forgive me if this is the incorrect area, I signed up to this forum just now because I wanted to be on the list to purchase a copy of your autobiography. Please feel free to pass my information along to whomever is selling. Thank you so much. I look forward to it!
I like the Tillie in my picture. They are supposed to fit loose (2 fingers inside hat band), have mesh for cooling, and hold their shape after washing.
