Hi Johnny,

Look at the above they build stock for Montana rifles... You are looking for a Winchester stock.

Use there rifle conversion chart to get the right one.

All you will have to do is bed the action.

Stocky is a member here, drop him a personal message. If he doesn't have a stock you are looking for, sure he could point you in the right direction.

Have a look at Accurate Innovations. Wes has built several big bore stocks for me, all with their innovative alluminium bedding chassis which "beds" the metalwork to the woodwork, no cross-bolts required. Currently I have a .500 wildcat and a .458 Lott both wearing A.I stocks, both guns have several hundred rounds through the tubes without the slightest hint of any movement. I also have a 9.3x64mm with them at the moment. Cannot recommend them highly enough.

Thinks for info mine cracked today and looking for a replacement

I'm sure they will won't be able too talk too them till Monday just trying too look at options just in case

+1 if Montana doesn't take care of you.

Was just thinking about this and wondering if. Montana took care of you?

I'm still really wanting a .458 Lott and Montana seems to be the only left hand version out there that wouldn't break me!

Took me awhile too be able too mail the gun out. Montana took care of everything for me and turnaround was quick less than 2weeks. I have no complaints the gun I have weighs 8.2lbs and shoots pretty good I have not scoped it I would buy another one

Two weeks is pretty good I think!

It will probably be a while, but I'm all but certain this is what I'm going to get. I don't plan on putting a scope on it either.

How do you feel about about the weight? Is 8.2 lbs heavy enough?

The weight thing is all personal preference. I will say the gun has a good balance and feel too it. It is fine for me you do know it when you pull the trigger. I've let 2 other people shoot it once and neither of them will shoot it again. Hope this helps

LOL!

I know it is personal and almost didn't even ask due to that. I've never fired a Lott, but had no issue at all with a .470 NE. That gun was heavier though, which made me ask the question.

I can always add weight if need be.

I'm going to holler at Montana and see if I can't find a left hand AVR around here somewhere to see what I think of the fit for me personally. Don't care what the caliber is for that. Just hate to buy a big thumper like that when I haven't even held one.

Business is the only way to fly. I'm headed to SA August 25. I'm hoping that business isn't an arm and a leg. If you don't mind, what airline and the cost for your trip. Mine will be convoluted. I'll be flying into the states to pick up my 416 Rigby as Thailand doesn't allow firearms (pay no attention to the daily shootings and killings) so I'll have 2 very long trips.

Hi EGS

I read your thread with interest. Would you mind sending me that PDF? May I put it on my website?
