With turkey season about to begin I would say the real season is upon usWell with hunting season winding down for the most part it’s time to knock the cobwebs off the boat.
As always had a few minor repairs before the first outing last week ended up with a nice mixed bag of spotted seatrout, bull reds and sheepsheadView attachment 594214View attachment 594215View attachment 594216View attachment 594217View attachment 594218

Those are good looking fish! Many people used to cure the eggs and make a caviar out of them. But some states have outlawed keeping the eggs I think.Went after paddlefish this week with @Jerycmeach Jery caught the biggest and I had to buy lunch.

I hooked one up in the 350 lb range once and all I have to say is that I lost to that fish hands down. The power was something to behold.Just finished a day of fishing in Boca Grande for Tarpon and Goliath Grouper. It was a beautiful day on the water and I ended up bringing a 100 lb tarpon to the boat only for it to get eaten by 2 bull sharks. Unfortunately was not able to snap a picture of it in the chaos. The tarpon bite was slow with mine being the only tarpon caught by our boat and all the other boats around us. We then turned our attention to the Goliaths and I was able to catch my biggest fish of my life! Ended up catching four Goliaths with my largest pictured below. It certainly was workout bringing him up to the surface and made me wonder how much of a fight the giant 500 lb Goliaths would be. All in all a wonderful day and got strike both off my bucket list.
