Italy is not one of the places I think of when I think of hunting--OK Im ignorant so help me. I promised my wife we'd go to Italy in 2018. It seemed like a fair deal since we hunted Lion on our Honeymoon... So we in the early stages of planning a trip (as in where do you want to go-early). Is there any hunting I should suggest while we're planning all the tourist stuff? Any worries about weapons? Guide suggestions?

Florence is my favorite city in Italy.. and Tuscany is far and away my favorite region...

I cant recommend any guides, and I havent hunted Tuscany personally.. but my understanding is there is good pheasant hunting and good pig hunting there...

I am on vactation in the north of Italy at the moment and have a scheduled free range hunting trip planned for the 28th Dec - but in Austria. The place where I will hunt is 30min drive North of the Italian border. Should you wish to maybe consider this, I will give you a detailed reportback once my hunt is done?

Edelweiss,
Italy has wonderful areas to hunt.
But its not very common for us Europeans to hunt there.
You must be an insider to find good oportunities.
I agree with Safari Sepc. Importers and would book over a good travel agency.
But Italians are complicated with weapons and mostly not a word in english to speak.
When you would tell us
when to go
what do you want
how much should it cost

I keep my ears open and have (private) contacts in the aera Emilia Romana.

Is this rifle sold? If not what is the weight of it and do you know if there is enough difference in diameter between the 35W and the 9.3 to allow for a rebore to a 9.3x62 which is what I am after?
Thanks,
Gary (Just down the road in Springfield)

Forgive me if this is the incorrect area, I signed up to this forum just now because I wanted to be on the list to purchase a copy of your autobiography. Please feel free to pass my information along to whomever is selling. Thank you so much. I look forward to it!
I like the Tillie in my picture. They are supposed to fit loose (2 fingers inside hat band), have mesh for cooling, and hold their shape after washing.
