    Importing - Safari Specialty Importers

I used them for my 3 safaris and had excellent service. They handled everything from the outfitter in RSA to my taxidermist here at home. All the shipping, paperwork, customs, delivery to my taxidermist. Any questions or concerns and they were on top of it.

USNMCB 3 Okinawa March 1961. We were mounted out and sent "south" aboard an AKA (attack transport). Found out two weeks later upon return to Okinawa we had been circling just out of sight of the Vietnam coast locked and loaded. A Seabee battalion, a Marine battalion and 30 ton of small arms...

    5 Stages Of A Hunter

Disappointment figures into every hunt. I wanted a warthog in the worst way on all three of my hunts. Did I get one? No, and only saw a couple. The good side is that it's an incentive to go back and nail one. I think that is part of what keeps the flame burning.

    5 Stages Of A Hunter

I grew up hunting and always carried some kind of firearm, mostly a 22. As I got older I hunted to put meat on the table. Then into 3 gun competition. All of which honed my skills and I guess prepared me for my first safari. At that stage I think you could call me a shooter. I had a list of...

I do know them and what they mean and taught them in many classes. I said they should not supplant (replace) the "Duty, Honor, Country" motto amd that they add some detail. I served 1960- 66 and 1975-2000 and retired in 2000.. 30 years, 6 months and 8 days.

I don't like it. I'm not a ring knocker but did serve 30 years as enlisted. We always taught "Duty, Honor, Country".After all that's what the mission of the armed forces is. To serve honorably and protect our country. "Duty, Honor, Country" says it all. "Army Values" is included in the three...

I know that one. My oldest daughter was like that. We had to be explicit with everything. If we told her to be home at a certain time from a date or something she'd be home but sitting out front in the car with the date. She had to be told that being home meant being in the house alone. Every...

Why all the 6.5 Creedmoor Hate?

I have a 6.5 cm and like it--for what it was designed for. I took it to Africa on my last hunt and used it for small pg: springbok and impala and it worked perfectly. For anything bigger I used my 375HH. Use the right weapon for the job and don't try to be the hero because more often than not...

I believe it is due, in large part, to all the additives and preservatives in the food we eat today. That and the inactivity of kids today. When I was growing up we had pt in school and chores and work at home. Of course this was back in the good old days before tv, video games and junk food...

An old army bolt action rifle using ball ammo which punches a small hole and not a very big exit wound. Not nearly enough to do the damage that was caused. And multiple rounds so close together at a moving target just doesn't smell right. I doubt Oswald was that good a shot.

I think part of it actually goes for defense materiel, servicemembers' needs and training. But a fair share also goes into contractor pockets just as in any business and not into the contracted items. $400 hammers, multi hundred dollar anything you care to name which goes for a fraction of that...
