    Pump Rifle

I had a 7600 in 30-06 back in the late 70's. The pump action forestock had a bit of movement left and right making it a bit of a pain to get a consistent hold. I ended up trading it for a 740 in 30-06.

Obviously this turkey choose the wrong costume. Turkey tacos, turkey burritos, turkey casadias. There's more to left over turkey than just sandwiches.

Things you survived, but probably shouldn't have

Any landing you can walk away from is a good landing......being able to save your aircraft is a much better landing.

    Handguns for women

Let us know how your legal situations turn out when you explain why you engaged perpetrator(s) at 100 yards. At 30 yards, 90 feet, courts deem a rational person is far enough away to remove themself to a safe area, away from any percieved threat Most courts recognize 20-30 feet as the max...

Things you survived, but probably shouldn't have

Ok these near death posts/threads are "harrowing". But nothing to those of our military personnel who have survived hostile environments. I'm waiting to hear some real horror stories of near death experiences. Homicidal, Suicidal, Adrenaline Junkie, or just plain foolishness: My multiple...

I have to disagree on your recommendation to stay away from the snub nose 1-1/2, 2 inch barrel 38 as an EDC/PDF. Short barrels regardless of style are meant for close range as within feet, inside a room, not yards. Revolvers are no harder to become proficient nor less accurate comparing a snub...

SCI Convention 2026 - Who Is Joining Me?

If everything goes well I'll be attending the SCI AH get together on Friday evening for sure. Since I already have hunts in the planning process for 2027 the number of days attending the SCI Convention is still undecided at least 2, maybe 3 days to just see what's available and to visit with...

Do you go afield with “hunting” or “nice” shotguns

+1. Use it and protect it then after that first nick, scratch, etc suddenly the firearm becomes a work horse and not so much a safe queen.

Wait a minute....:unsure::unsure::unsure::unsure:....I think I need to resent this comment..... Is it okay if your sweater color matches your Tacoma's or Jeep's color; BUT Not okay if your sweater matches your Dodge or Chevy truck colors? Asking for a friend who drives a blue Nissan...

I have to question your punishment of grounding.....as it may very well be a reward for....their illicit....aahh....misdirection of psychological/mental questionabilities. LOL....@Vashper and @JOHN GRENZ don't lists their respective birth dates in their respective About Info. Thereby, they may...

A question for lever gun users....

Sh't happens, and Murphy always makes sure it happens at the worse time. During a hunt I was quite aways from camp and my truck when I slipped in mud, snow, loose leaves my Marlin 336C 30-30 went muzzle first into the mud. Luckily...The mud only went down the muzzle about 5/8ths of a inch and...

Sorry but a real genius would have used a bigger case and brought 2 or 3 or 4 new guns into the house.
