BREAKING NEWS ON ZIMBABWE AND ZAMBIA ELEPHANT IMPORTATION Our partners in Washington, D.C., have been working hard with the new administration and officials in the Dept. of Interior to make this happen. Hats off to all who are fighting for hunters in DC and around the world. From John Jackson of Conservation Force: Success: Today the FWS announced that it has made a positive enhancement finding for import of elephant hunting trophies from both Zimbabwe and Zambia for 2016, 2017 and 2018. The announcement was made by FWS Deputy Director Craig Sheehan and Tim Van Norman. The decision on Zimbabwe elephant before 2016 awaits legal resolution. The permits for Zimbabwe requires a Federal Register Notice which will be published within a week or ten days, then those permits can be issued. The Zambia permits are already being issued. DSC will be providing more detailed information as it becomes available from the US Fish & Wildlife Service. Thank you DSC for your hard work and news.
