Dennis Ritchie and Steve Jobs died about the same time. The world was agog with Jobs' achievements, and without wanting to take anything away from the man, I'll just say he was more of a marketing genius than a true technologist.

One could say the same in regard to Elon Musk. That being said both were visionaries that could drive the people and do what others said that could not be done.

Windows and mice were first developed by Xerox, but no one had heard of them until Jobs brought it to the masses with the Mac (we'll forget about Lisa that was not much of a success). People were also making fun of the iPhone when it was first announced.

BTW, not minimizing the other guys. Heck, I still have a copy of the White Book (C programming language) by K&R.

Years ago my son and I went elk and deer hunting on Raspberry Island in the Kodiak Archipelago and stayed at a small hunting lodge there. The lodge owner insisted that we try out our rifles on his range. I shot three shots, and they were scattered all over the target. I adjusted my scope settings, and the shots kept wandering.

Then I realized my scope screws had loosened in transit. Since then, after traveling I always check how my rifle shoots before going hunting.

Pass on Zambia, go to Zimbabwe or Uganda or Botswana. Easier to get in and out, no ticky tacky fees to deal with and you will not get scalpted when you ship things out.

I have tremendous confidence in this. 1. When not if I hunt Zambia it will be with our own @spike.t. 2. I have complete confidence he will be able to guide me through everything needed to get my guns and ammo in and out of Zambia. Reputation in an outfitter is everything and his is simply stellar!!!!!
