What We Offer

Rifle Hunting
Bow Hunting
Handgun Hunting

We thoroughly enjoy the challenge of hunting African game with Handguns and with modern technology a great deal can be accomplished with a Handgun.
Mountain Hunting
The South African version of a sheep hunt! Come and challenge yourself at over 8000ft above sea level in some of the hardest hunting terrain South Africa has to offer.

The two prized trophies out there are the Vaal Rhebok and Mountain Reedbuck. With their incredible senses they are an ultimate challenge. Due to the free range element of the hunt, the season only runs June through to August and one should try book far in advance. The only requirements for this hunt is fitness!
Hunting in other Countries
For the more experienced and adventurous hunters, we also offer hunting in Mozambique, Zimbabwe, Namibia and Tanzania.
These countries provide some of the best big game hunting and are especially ideal for Leopard, Elephant and Buffalo.

Bow Hunting

full

We at Bayly Sippel Hunting Safaris strive to get the client the trophy of a lifetime. As both owners are also passionate bow hunters they know all about the challenges that bow hunters face when travelling to Africa.

Bow Hunting can be done out of various hides on the concessions or on foot by means of walking and stalking.

Most shots will be between 20-30 yards, as our bow hides are all strategically placed to ensure the highest possible success rate.

Any bow set up that you use for big game hunting back home, for example deer, is sufficient for our plainsgame . We prefer someone to use a bow that they are used to and very familiar with, than go out and get themselves a heavier set up, that they are not familiar with.

full

Success is greater if you are familiar with your bow and used to using it. Fixed blade broad heads are recommended but a well-placed mechanical broad head is also deadly. Additionally for plains game we recommend an arrow of at least 400 grains and up and for dangerous game an arrow of at least 750 grains is recommended with a well constructed two blade cut on contact broadhead.

At the moment there are no laws regarding regulations of bringing bows into South Africa, it is very simple and you will simply collect your bow from the oversized luggage department and go straight to customs.

The best time to bow hunt in Africa is usually between May and September, the area is usually drier, thus the animals make their way to the water holes on a more regular basis.

This was a very tricky water shot for our client Rico and fortunately he made it count from off the sticks!
